Hi, I’m PanamaLou, Jack Of All Trades. Tech & firearms enthusiast.
JOAT Lou is a channel dedicated to covering technology and firearms two of my biggest passions. Here you'll find reviews, overviews, shorts, comparison videos, range footage, etc. As I continue to grow and enjoy both worlds.
Thanks for sharing. Looking at getting the 20" 590S and upgrading with Magpul forend and stock like you. I called Magpul to see if the 500/590 products would work. He told me no as the forend would not work with some internal parts. He said not even the stock would work. Just to confirm, you had no problems or had to make any modifications? Thanks for your help.
@@JOATLou24 Thanks for the quick reply. Just confused on what the magpul rep was talking about. He said it would pretty much render the 590S inoperable. Thanks again!
@@bostex1 If you are using the exact Magpul stock and forend I used in the video on a 20” 590S you should be good to go. I’ve had no issues with the forend what so ever.
I’m ova here now!! You are 100% correct - the 92/M9 is and has always been one sexy Italian beast!! 🔥🇮🇹 It is definitely an Italian thing - Italian products - be it a Ferrari Roma or a Bertazzoni kitchen stove - they just ooze sexy! For me - my love affair with Beretta started with a Pigeon III over/under shotgun and many guns and dollars later I have just started the pistol game. BTW - you, and others on YT have mentioned finding Berettas in movies. Mel Gibson in the first Lethal Weapon got so many dudes!!! that Helicopter mag dump was straight up fire!! anyways there’s a practical reason for that - something most guys don’t know. The 92 is on screen bc its fixed barrel/open slide design allows it to cycle blank cartridges reliably. It’s the movie armorer’s first choice!! anyways - sorry for the much too long comment. cheers!
Sexy looking firearm for sure man… no debate! Thanks for sharing that info on why they tend to use them, I never thought about that.cheers and thanks for visiting the channel!
My dude! that delivery! you are so mellow and smooth that my week-long bout with insomnia just caught up to me and I nodded off - spilling a coffee down my leg!!! 😂😂 Don’t take it the wrong way - please! Imma bout to go back and watch from the hop. I’m looking to replace an old 92s - Its an Italian made LEO trade-in - The S has that euro-style Mag release at the bottom of the grip. Anyway I tend to prefer compact size frames - Like a Glock G19 size frame. and 92 compact reviews are few on the guntoob!! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts - cheers!!
@@JOATLou24 yeah ofc, i’m not 100% sure tbh bc ive never done it but i have seen a video online of a dude doing it to his beretta mags but i could be lying out my teeth. i hope it’s true tho those 10 rounders gotta get old quick i bet.
I got the same pistol but with the safety (I got the decocker kit but haven't installed it yet) as my first hammer fired all metal pistol 3 years ago, I love it. Sounds just like yours.. smooth as butter! I wish it had a fiber optic front sight, I also have about 1000 rounds threw mine. Good video thanks for sharing!
Man tbh I wasn’t a fan I tried it I prefer a Glock if I’m shooting something striker fired I actually been rocking a SA-35 it’s been a shooter n concealing a 38 5 shot went old school 🙂😅😂 great video!! Tho! Keep it up bro
You mentioned buckshot is your preferred round, I recently purchased a Mossberg 590S and started looking around for " shorty " rounds. I have found them online in # 4 buckshot and slugs which are both made by Federal. I'm still looking for a # 1 buckshot, but not sure with the diameter of the shot in either #1 or 00 buck that it would fit in the shorty shell ?? The reduced recoil is a plus with the shorty shells and the Federal slugs at 1oz and traveling at 1200fps is nothing to sneeze at. LOL Mossberg builds top quality shotguns and continues to make improvements when needed. I carried a Remington 870 for many years, but I think quality has suffered recently and I would pass on them.
@@adrianmateogunz Will do compa, life’s been hectic but I’m on it! More range day video but I’ll work on the indoor sound… also still need to do a video for my Springfield Armory Prodigy.
Defender Tactical now sells a kit that would have allowed you to upgrade any Mossberg 88/500/590 shotgun to work exactly like the 590S. Of course, you could still buy their 590S Cartridge Arrestor upgrade for your new 590S since the factory bumper is prone to falling out. Defender Tactical also sells options for the upgrades you mentioned in this video.
Got mines at my local academy and I love it man its a blast to shoot. I added a rubber grip to mines and a side saddle with a picatinny rail and added a aftermarket light & with a dual green and blue laser from amazon which I’d recommend over the crimson trace if you wanna save some money. Im also gonna add a custom heat shield to mines as well. Hope you’re build comes out good tho man 👍🏽
Great review! I comfortably edc a 92fs; so, I’ve grown to believe with the right belt and holster you can carry pretty much concealed carry anything if you’re big enough.
I used to conceal carry a 92FS and while I was able to do so comfortably and not print, it always reminds you that it is there. On the other hand sometimes I forget I have my G2c on me. Both carried at the appendix btw.
@@Poser_Metal_Records I hear that I like appendix carry myself as well. Yea the 92s in general will let you know they are there for sure. 🤣 my 92X Compact is good though and doesn’t make me feel that way.
I consider it a great option to conceal carry. I currently carry two other guns daily but have been thinking of adding this to the rotation. Vedder Holsters IWB ProTuck.
Hello, my name is ESD Guns I rate gun collections for every RU-vidr that is just starting out so with that being said here we go……. 1. Mossberg Maverick 12G 6/10 I think you should get a red dot, light, and a choke and it would be a lot better. 2. 19X 7/10 just plain. 3. 92X compact 7/10 nice gun and very concealable. 4. M&P 7/10 make it more customizable to your liking. 5. Saint AR15 6/10 very basic rifle and you called it a handgun @5:30. 6. M9A4 9/10 love the look but no light. 7. 80X .380 7/10 great weapons to train on and low cost ammunition. 8. 10/22 7/10 good for kids to learn and good for small game hunting. The reason why, some of the ratings were low is mainly because there was not a single light on any of your firearms. As a security officer and a firearms instructor that is the first thing that I look for because you can’t shoot what you can’t see. But, always remember ammo is cheap gear is everywhere. Your life is expensive always train hard.
“ACP” stands for “ Automatic COLT pistol”. On the side of the gun it says “.380 AUTO” not “.380 ACP”. Sometimes a gun or ammunition may say “ACP” if the company making the ammo is using the original John Browning design.
I do have a Springfield Armory Saint. I just looked up the GG&G sling tact rail adapter. Not as easy to find on their site as i expected 🤣… but if it’s what I think I say not bad at all.
Nice set up !! Huge fan of Smith and Wesson ! Should think about switching your fiber optic for true glo tritium sights better for day and night… heard fiber optics isn’t that great at night
