My channel is primarily Mario Golf content and other three-click golf games, but other games may pop up occasionally.
How I make videos: I have myriad consoles all using at minimum a component (YPbPr) connection with HD Retrovision cables going to a RetroTINK-5X to make everything look nice yet authentic. Most footage is local recordings or encoded segments of Twitch streams recorded in Open Broadcasting Software.
Nintendo Network ID (for WiiU): MetalYoshi6 Nickname: Sancho
The hardest challenge by far is Elf’s short course the one hole that I have a hard time with is Hole 6 green is so small not a lot of room getting there I tend to go with the 9 iron over wedges they hit too high ❤
@@supervector4757 Actually, something looks weird about Lakitu Valley. As for Badlands in the daytime, this is an interesting question and is still in need of research. Depending on the course you select and the hole from Badlands itself, the skybox will be from the course, or it will be from the hole itself. These are treated as separate entities in the game's files. I know one hole that uses the course skybox is Badlands 7. Looks pretty wicked in Shifting Sands.
@MetalYoshiProGamer The first time you did that stuff was in Congo Canopy, which later turned into Congo Canopy Remix, and now this? I sense that you are cooking up another custom course. BTW, if there were guest characters in Mario Golf (Nintendo, Third-party, Non-interactive, Real-life), who would you pick?
@supervector4757 Fully custom courses would require a new innovation entirely. Perhaps if a tool that can convert Blender files into something usable by MGTT. As for CCR, what is actually happening is that the game's files are modified to use the Congo Canopy "hole" within the Lakitu Valley course parameters. This, therefore, displaces Lakitu Valley from being playable, but it solves the issue of having all the different "holes" from Congo Canopy being flagged as OB. What actually makes each hole of CCR different within the same "hole" are the teeoff point, the pin locations, the yardage, and the par value. It may eventually release a video that goes into this stuff visually.
I believe you can assign any integer value for the "par" variable. Currently, the only in-game map that could be turned into a par 6/7 is PCG 18. This map also includes PCG 1, so you could make a super long hole going from the 18th tee to either of the first teeboxes (and use hex edits to turn them into Green surfaces and give them pin locations). Or you could change the teeoff location to the first hole and make the 18th green or one of those teeboxes a target destination. Incidentally, both pairs of yellow and green pipes work, so they make for great shortcuts (especially the 18th hole green pipes). As for guest characters, I'd like to see a return of "mortal" PCs ala Plum/Harry/Sonny/Maple, but it seems insanely unlikely. I think mainline Nintendo crossovers would be sick, maybe something like Kirby's Dream Course, or Hyrulian stuff (either traditional or neo), or even something industrial and alien ala Metroid.
I haven't had the patience to create tool-assisted superplays. Spyfox26 and Bluekandy have created TAS runs for major categories that are fun to watch. Precognition comes with practice. It's always a good idea to toggle the meter a unit each way to see what would happen if you miss your mark. For RNG, I assume a mark difference for every 2% variation. This would of course go to waste if sweet spots are not hit perfectly (you can add another dimension to this precognition since missed hits will tend to form an arc). This run took about 20 minutes of attempts, mostly to get that last shot in.
Yes. There was a determined order for the courses to be played. I had to jack up the winds on Sands to make it at least as difficult as Blooper but lol and behold! - Blooper still be blooping! Same deal with Badlands and PCG.
All good! Insanely enough, Melthrax managed a -16 here completely blind. I'm hoping I can get the official highlight to paste in the description; it was a riot!
@@MetalYoshiProGamer Well, if you ever have a little extra time, it would be neat to see you shoot a round on it and just get your comments of design of the holes. My favorite was THE TURTLE.
@@MetalYoshiProGamer I do not think it is a tournament course either. Just a special bonus course that can played in exhibition or stroke play. I forget the mode, was quite young when I owned and played it. Fun with dad too, he kept a notebook for each hole.
