Think the problem is the spring loading magazine, if you load the magazine, then cycle the magazine say with a match stick to eject the pellets, I found all pellets to be distorted, the return spring action distorted the pellet skirt on all pellets,
Thank you for posting. I use RWS Hobby in my ancient BSA .22 Supersport custom with Theoben gas strut for close pest control (Ruger 10/22 LR for the rest). A while back my gun shop had none so I picked up those Bisley Practice and they were terrible. I bought a JTS Airacuda Max .22 (regulated) as I won the rat eradication contracts on all local riding schools and stables to sort their plague of rats. I tested all the pellets I had in my new Airacuda. Bisley Practice gave a single hole 5p group from 10 feet out to 60 feet (tripod mounted with an expensive red dot/reflex scope). At 35 yards on tripod with a serious scope all shots well inside a 10p and that is where they fell off a cliff, at 40 yards I could not hit an A4 sheet with them. Liked and subscribed, cheers
I use Mako slugs in my Weirauch 97K and they are great; often hitting the first shot, time and again at 20 yds. On the Precision-ballistics website they recommend single manual loading as the slugs can be inserted slightly crooked from magazines designed for pellets creating an uneven spiralling effect on leaving the barrel and subsequently, inaccurate hits.. I haven't even tried them in my magazined Air Arms S510 TDR for that reason. But my hefty springer seems to like them.
apparantley 177 slugs either hn or jsb shoot slug on slug with a cz barrel or a bsa barrel and not lothar walther barrels as the cz or thebsa are tapered chocks i use jsb slugs 10.03 at 720 feet per second and it is slug on slug at 60 yards and also they carry much more energey dowm range, at 60 yards still retaining 8 ft lb energey and a velocity 610 fet per second as apoossed to jsb heavies 10.34 same range only 5 ft lbs and a slower velocity
Non choked barrels are supposed to shoot slugs better than choked. My agt have CZ choked barrels and do not shoot the H&N slugs well at all they are terrible.
Stateside chaps call these little novelties "honey pots". Our less understanding government overlords call them restricted devices with similar possession penalties as your non fac airguns without a permit.
I have to ask when you purchased your Kral Puncher NP 03 as I purchased one this week. Jan 2024 & I have to say from the box right through every issue you've shown or mentioned, I have absolutely none of them. My new rifle is fantastic, accurate, nothing loose, even the box has a moulded insert to keep everything separated & damage free. Even the Plastic as you call it, seems so much more solid, and it has a plenty large enough & comfortable grip for my surgical glove size 10 hands. All, I can say is they must have listened to past complaints & now, got it right. Sincerely Mark, Blackpool. UK
I think barrels and pellets are made for each other you have to have a barrel that light slugs my gun loves slugs had to get a slug barrel for it would I go back to pellets for hunting not a chance 177 with 10 g slugs spot on
Great vid! The point to come out of this is the rifle. There might be a slug out there it could perform with but not those. I am using a 17.5 grn from a UK maker, and three rifles shoot them A1 including a FAC at 30ft lbs.
I have found that slugs dont work satisfactorily in sub 12's!!!!!! They are intended to be used in FAC types where POWER is king. Stop trying 'to get a silk purse out of a sows ear' !!! Get yourselves a rifle that develops over 20ftlb (FAC), better still, one that's tuned to develop 50-60 ftlb........THAT, will not disappoint when using ZAN 33grn slugs at 850-900fps, CAUTION be very wary of the significant carry over of these slugs, check backdrops !!!!!! Thanks for taking the time to produce/upload such an informative, interesting and useful video. I'm just getting back into it after 42 years!, so have been researching the Bisley practice for my newly acquired Weihrauch HW40. On your evidence, they are the ones for me, thanks again.
I find that the pellet sizes arent as varied with alugs. My brocock sniper likes QYS streamline heavies at 4.49. The same pellet in 4.50 is nowhere near as accurate. Cant find slugs in 4.49 anywhere.
Damned if I can find this adapter. Can you share a link? Been looking for days... I know the rifle threads are 1/2x20 (UNF), I have 24mm (15/16) x 20tpi for the trap. Still looking... 🤣👍

Different barrels like different pellets and slugs mate,I hunt with Zan 10 GN slugs in my hw100 and there is nothing better and believe me I've tried them all.
In your HW100, have you tried H&N FTT? I have 3 HW100's and the H&N outperform every other pellet i've tried which over 20 years would be about 30 different types.
Bought the sleeve from your amazon recommendation in the link, and my GOD am I impressed with the quality of the sleeve (I'm not affiliated in any way, just love the quality of the printing and the fit). Best fittings were out of stock of the bottle and I just looked and still are so I got mine from elsewhere and it was delivered next day (royal mail actually did a great job), absolutely amazing bottle and can't wait until the weekend again so I haven't got to lug my 7L one about. Thank you for the review, it was incredible and swayed my mind to purchase as it was so in depth.
Good data, thanks for posting this. I tried some of the Zan 10s in my sub-12 .177 HW100 (which shoots pretty much any diablo pellet well, really unfussy barrel) and they were terrible. Like a shot-gun spread at 30m.
