And for all you knewer car owners, make sure you have your key fob next to you so you can turn the horn off. Now for the fun stuff, you get to reset the clock and all your radio stations.
I don't go by color. I chase the wire, when I find it is going to the chassis then I know I have the negative/ground side and that's the one I remove first and connect last...
It appeeeears.....using slogan to membaaaa......disconnect procedure--START with NEG. Disconnect...END with NEG....reconnect. ARIVADERTIEEE------i got it Foreverrrr.😊
2008 Nissan Versa Hatchback, After looking around most people say its fine to install without that piece. Comments on here are saying my car will always blow on high heat if I do is that true?
OK hear me out, I know the old age saying is disconnect the Neg side, BUUUUUUUT if you disconnect the Neg side and that's the only side you are disconnecting there seems to be an inherent danger in this. All the Neg side has to do is touch any metal part of the car (i.e. body, frame, engine) and now the circuit is once again completed. If you disconnect the Positive side and that's the only side you are disconnecting, it doesn't matter if it touches a metal/grounded item in the car, the circuit is not complete.
Hey mate, would love if you saw this, so this happened to me while accelerating in 3rd or 4th gear after about 2500 rpm, it would be flashing for 10-15 sec and stop, happened 3 times already. But the thing is its only happening in those gears, i literally floored it in 2nd gear uphill for test to about 4000 rpm no issues at all, no stuttering of the engine, no loss of power. Its a 1.6 vw petrol engine BTS code name, the spark plugs havent been changed for like 3 years or so, the car did about 60k km in city driving in time being, so im thinking its the spark plugs but would love to know if it might be something else
Without even watching this video I will tell you that the negative is always disconnected first unless the service manual instructs you to do otherwise period.
Thanks for the video. Funny this would pop up as I just opened up my new valve tool set. Exactly the same. Got tired of messing around with makeshift hit and miss solutions. Thanks again.
Yes, clean and concise, the tool and the video. I knew I was in for another um, "journey" when at first greeted with 20 to 30 minute videos for how to install collets. I've done a few engines over the years, not a lot, and can't remember ever being frustrated with valve installation. It just occurred to me that the collets are not locating into place because they are worn out and probably worth replacing since the engine has done 460 000km. After seeing this and ordering the right tool, hopefully this um journey is over. Thank you
If I wanted to change a control module, and therefore want to disconnect the battery (to avoid shorting etc)- Could I simply disconnect the negative? Or is best practice to disconnect both?
So many ideas and arguments, I am confusing I am try to find the right things I am scared to get shocks too So disconnect negative first and reconnect positive first Wrench or tool can not touch both sides Do we have to disconnect both sides too? Not one side .Someone told me to disconnect just one negative side . Thank you to share and confirm I am going to travel and plan to do it myself I am so scared 😢 Like and share already
You need to make more movies~! The camera was fixed in position, plenty of light, you named the socket size, you didn't yap along like some do, and you saved me `200$ in mechanics time. Good job, well done.
