These Progressive Muslims stand up for more important causes and movements than most orthodox muslims by; actually fighting for women’s rights and equality instead of denying them positions in political and religious leadership while being less unequal in society as a chattel slave, supporting the LGBTQIA+ community with inclusion, respect and love instead of throwing them off buildings and beheading them in public, Being tolerant and open minded to people that are Atheist or anyone else that is different instead of murdering or imprisoning people of conscience for questioning or denouncing the Quran or anything of islam, upholding democracy and human rights for others to have it and enjoy it too than suffering in a totalitarian state where religion is inseparable to the state with draconian laws that infringe on people’s rights and finally being the change that most muslims should strive to Be. To be better is to improve yourself, not restrict yourself to the orthodox conservatism that keeps you ignorant. Break tradition with pride my Progressive muslim friends! Islam is complete as it is. None of this was done by the prophet. Ask yourself, if the prophet or his companions saw me doing this, would they have accepted it? It will be my honor to share this. When I was in a similar stage, I watched these videos to investigate at least. My personal simple yet most scrutinized method for starting is: 2 step process: 1. Numeric contradiction . Contradiction in numbers, it's not an interpretation error or mistake. Apply that to all religion books which are widely accessible or at least accessible to the normal people. (Note: somebody heard that, same thing somebody heard, which is another thing, another number then we ended up getting nowhere.) (Note: numeric mistakes only happen when there is a hearing error) That one step will eliminate most of the religions out there. 2. Two Contradictory things can not be true at the same time. Ex: if a religion says Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) is god and another one says no he's not, just a messenger, and another one says, you're both wrong, Jesus was a liar. Another one says, You all are wrong, Jesus didn't exit. In that case, only one statement can be true at the same time. because they contradicts each other) If someone or some religion says, "Every religion is a way to god" or "All religions are a medium of god." There are 2 possibilities only. 1. All of religions are wrong. god doesn't exist. 2. or God do exist, then one religion is true because because every religion contradicts each other. in many topics. (maybe Hinduism is fall into this category. I have to invest more. I am not sure. Like learning the actual Sanskrit, and from the one who has knowledge of the scripture, an actual practicing Hindu) (but from now you don't have to know for sure that Hinduism fall into that category or not, those "Top 5" video is Enough.) There is a another problem, in terms of morality who determines what is right & what is wrong. The Harm principle? as long as you don't harm anyone, you're good. Basic things like there is an agreement of intercourse between father & daughter or father & son. And many other problems as well. I am just touching the surface. Now we have reduced it to "one" religion. Now all of your questions like the existence of god or anything, find the answers within that religion. Find the answers from that religion.
