Everytime I hear this (which must be thousands of times by this point) I always end up shedding a tear. The most beautiful hip hop song ever made. Everybody who thinks that that accolade belongs to dear mama is clearly crazy
Being a Puerto Rican growing up in a family with no male figures. This song always struck a cord with me. Even with my two only half brothers with fathers that all ran out on us. This song really reminds me of our struggles with women raising us with no men to protect us. It really breaks my heart. But….. That was the child I was that made me the man I am today
Can’t relate to all but I can relate to half. I’m 43 and this song still brings tears to my eyes in 2024. Mothers are everything. If you’re are able to read this and your mother, granny or anyone like that is still in your life, call them now and tell them you love them❤💯💪🏾
I lost my momma on Mother’s Day 5/12/2001 I was 18yrs old with a 1yr old, This song hit a lot of us I see, it’s been 22yrs since she been gone, an it’s hitting me right now like it did on that day😣😫❤️🩹💔
