This is the reason i almost gave up on Photography. This is too technical.. just shoot and have fun. When it becomes to technical most ppl. Give up. Not for me....
Awesome, i'm a Brazilian tattoo artist, amateur photographer and focused on portrait an realism, and this big class make so much difference for me. Thank you.
I can see that cohesion, that harmony among colors that makes your photographs so palatable, almost palpable. They remind me of Wes Anderson movies. Great job!
Wow! Loved to see your evolution. I would say your consistency and deliberate effort paid off and over time, you have developed your own style. ‘Like a still from a movie’ is exactly how I would describe your pictures as well. Kudos to your hard work and taking conscious actions in developing your craft!
Additional note: If you want to export a 3DLut from 3D Lut Creator, that is, convert it into an ICC/costyle file format for Capture One, be aware that the exported style may turn out to be unusable. The solution is to rename the exported ICC file associated with the costyle file. For example, rename it as: Csirke.costyle and Csirke.Csirke.icc (instead of Csirke.icc).
Awesome tutorial and really appreciate it being free and so thorough. I will say, you sound exactly like Mac from Always Sunny so it was really throwing me for a loop for a while haha.
Am an amateur and you explained everything very well from set up to the end perfect result I learned a lot thanks keep up the good work and your model is amazing
I can see the shadow difference in the Octo and Beauty Dish if you look close you can see the light fall off on her shadow side. This was really good thanks!
This is a real master class, the best I have ever watched AMAZING ❤️ Perfytimming as I have recently bout his book. Thanks for making this for free 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
All looks great and your technique plus PS skills are great but i can't get through the fact image is miss-focused. Your focus is on her hair but not on her eye :(.
I’m a boudoir photographer and Jake your work with color gels has been one of my biggest inspiration to my style thank you for this wonderful course and tutorial
They are indeed 3D Luts, made in a 3D Lut creator using a ProPhoto colorspace on DNG files and then converted to an .XMP file. Color Profiles are just another name for 3D LUTS
Nature very rarely has one light source if you keep in mind that things reflect, bounce or absorb light...... Its not an insult to photography to recognize it.... just go walk the streets at not and you will become aware of how much light is out there in the world. Work with it all to create realistic imagery that resonates with mood and a story. ONE LIGHT imagery means it was done in a box of darkness. A very expensive way to do the work.
Feathering is the biggest myth in studio photography, it just makes the light source smaller and thereby makes the light harder. It has no other effect.
