I would definetly want parts and maybe a pumbing video on this. Love the flow. I also would like to ask. Do you need to have the trigger pulled when turning on and off like the p40 and ar45?
Hey, love the video. Getting late in the year and thinking about getting this for next year. Its been a couple months since you made the video, looking for an update. How did it hold up?
I have a 3/4 inch proportioner so I reduced the intake to 3/4. It did not perform well. I dropped a inch drop stick and fed 1 inch into the tank and it was a lot better. Have you tried anything but 1 inch? I hate to redo all my fittings in my proportioner.
Logged in just to give you a like on this video! Appreciate it a lot! Excited to get a good solid pump going and also find that the 2 yr warranty for $65 bucks is totally worth it as harbor freight will replace it super easy! Super worth it.
Great idea and build worse case just swap out to an AR45 gas pump all other components are rated, thinking the SH will eat that pump up quickly? The impeller and seals are rated for water , not SH or chem? Please Sir do a future video telling us how long in time/how many jobs it held up for? Might still be worth it! Rinse it well after each use is obvious. Best Regards Rich
Tried this a few years ago.. it worked great for about 45 minutes then it literally ate a hole through the aluminum pump.. used a 70 psi pressure relief valve back to tank (we use a batch tank for anything SH).. Also had a new 2" Pacer chemical pump which we then tried (we used 2" pumps to spray asphalt sealer so we had a backup on the shelf) the Pacer worked amazing but had to be reduced and play with the return to tank valve to bypass properly.. ..
No issues so far. If the housing gets ruined they have replacements. I have one extra housing for this reason. This far outweighs replacing a 12v like I did starting out for me however
@@30iuoenycI haven’t tested how long it will run with a full tank of gas really. It does have a small tank on it too. Bleach consumption just depends on what percent I’m throwing down. I haven’t been able to make any videos of it in action since I don’t get to use it too often as I mainly downstream
@@30iuoenyc I recently run a fuel consumption/running time @ full load with 300ft of 1/2" hose, I was surprise that it run for about 4 hours straight, did not run out of gas, I shut it down with about 1/8 of the tank, and the best part of the test, pump stay cool. YYEESS!!!
@@jamestribbitt9684 Question. Is your set up doing 9 GPM? I’m tried making mine but it only does 6GPM not sure what I did wrong. Made some fittings from the 1inch pump to 5/8 hose and then the blue gun witch is 1/2 fitting
All I really need to know now to complete my build is what fittings are you using for the suction side and the spray side? Just a 1” pvc reducer? Really just needing to know what kind of threading adapters I’m gonna need! I can figure the hoses and stuff out just needing to know the adapters you’re running on the in and out sides! If you can boss.
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC I gotcha bud. I appreciate it, I should be able to get it from there. I’m running 1” hoses to my proportioner now anyways so should be pretty simple!
Well it’s aluminum so no rust. The housing might corrode eventually but they have replacement housings. No issues with this on mine however, could also run bleach neutralizer through the pump as well if you are worried about
Love the video and idea, I was gonna try this with a roller pump and found out a guy had already done so. For bypass he used 20 ft of hose and ran it back into the line before the pump with high psi check valve after the proportioner to prevent back wash. But if it’s not heating up no worries.
Also I was considering that roller pump as well before I started messing with this idea. Saw a video on it as well but seemed like more of a hassle to get it to work compared to this
I used the same exact machine 4 years ago... The only problem is when you let off the gun, it keeps trying to pump. If you had a way to bypass this, it would be great. I hooked up a 2-inch fire hose, too it and washed soap3d down a 7000 of house in 30 minutes. I had help with the hose. But then I hooked up a 3/4 hose and it worked better but it still had no bypass. A bypass would be ideal.
Not sure what you mean it keeps trying to pump. The pump is a centrifugal pump, it doesn’t build up more pressure the longer you are off trigger. Bypass are always ideal but I haven’t had any issues yet. I was considering moving to 3/4 hose, but was worried it would be more annoying weight wise…
The pump is rated for pool water, as long as you flush the system you should be fine. I expect issues long term of course with corrosion but the pump is far outlasting its price to replace and the reliability of 12v systems

I have a 3/4 proportioner. Will this cause any major problems in restrictions since it’s not 1 inch? I would run everything the same as you minus the proportioner. Just bought the 3/4 so I would hate to get a 1 inch if it wasn’t too much of a difference.
I really dig this setup, Also the connectors at your hose and gun. I've never seen it done like that. Thanks Again for your time, and Please do an update whenever you fell is time. Also after the warranty is done, You can by a replacement pump with seals for under $100. Thanks Again Sir 👍
@@chrisselina3474 Slightly better than the Chapin 7GPM 12v pumps that I use. So it's got some pros and cons, no battery to worry about which is a big plus but definitely more noise especially running at 4,200 RPM which is higher than the pumps rated RPM of 3800
9 Gallons a minute @60 PSI, with a head lift of 95 ft and an intake lift of 26 ft at 0 flow you can leave any 12v or 24v SSW superpums behind, you wil have it avaliable as long as you have gas on the tank, it will not decrease. I love your video and your setup, keep it up. I'm looking forward to your next videos.
Only had to prime it the first time. I have a ball valve on my hose that keeps it primed when I take the gun off to store. I suppose if you leave the gun on and don’t pull the trigger to release what’s in the hose you won’t have to prime again
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC good deal. I think I’m gonna try this out just to have a little something stronger than the 12v! You’ve got it plumbed up pretty simple too!
