if this was going to be a post have a look back at 14.40 and take note of the centre as it is off centre also have you ever heard of the ripper37 blades for portable sawmill they are perfect for the woodland mills and you can sharpen them at least 5 to 7 times
This was a dead standing tree that I dropped to use as a test subject on the mill to make sure everything was up to par and working/adjusted properly. After this video was made I ended up making a few small adjustments on the mill. I got a box of blades with the mill but when it is time to buy more blades I plan on the Ripper37's, I had really good results with them when I had my HM126.
Don't call your videos ASMR. You don't know what it means.😡👎 An autonomous sensory meridian response is a tingling sensation that usually begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson. Nobody will get all tingly watching this video.
I do actually know what it is and what it means. First off calling this asmr was partially meant as a lighthearted joke to hopefully make someone smile. Second, how do you know that someone that is very into woodworking and machinery couldn't or wouldn't have an asmr reaction watching this. Sights and sounds......
Was this the shapeoko 4? Do you have a video explaining how you set it up on your computer to do this? Looks amazing by the way. I have no cnc experience, but I am very mechanically inclined third gen mechanic, I’m sure I can pick it up with time, and practice.
Yes it was the shapeoko 4. I had absolutely 0 cnc experience as well until this. I simply downloaded the carbide create program on my computer and played around with it until I figured it out (found a few youtube videos on the program as well.. Also I'm not afraid to admit I most definitely wasted some decent wood during the learning process. It's not difficult once you play around with it a bit.
Also you can go to carbide 3d and download carbide create for free if you were planning on getting one and practice with the program side of it before you even get a machine. It seems more difficult than it really is.
Where it contacts the ground is pressure treated with 2x's mounted on top of that. This is only a temporary setup I threw together so I can mill out lumber to build a sawmill shed with an actual slab underneath everything.
That saw can eat bigger wood than that 🤣🤣. The one i use at work has an 18" bar and i put through a 22" log. Pretty much went through it like it was nothing
That was probably a 10 inch or so spruce that fell over the winter and after seeing how easily it sliced through I have no doubt that it could handle much larger
Make some plugs for your tennon cutters, that fit into the bottom of the cutter so that it stops when you hit the plug. The depth of the cutter is 2.9" so if you want 1.5" tennons make a plug that is 1.4 " and your tenons will always be 1.5" and no checking required.
Nice and will be kept at home. 😄 Not allowed at my local department. No club/gang/group flags or symbols allowed. 🇺🇸😎 Americans first! LEO’s do your DUTY!! And serve!!
