What kind of printer was that? And what kind of paper was that?? It looked like some kind of laminate? Surely normal printers can’t do that, it must be a specialized printer right?
Hey Chris! Thanks for this amazing video! Love it. As I try to do my own I looked up all the materials you linked in the description. Sadly the transparent paper/foil is broken or no longer available. Can you tell me in a bit more detail what I have to take care of? Because I only find self adhesive foils and too thick OHP paper 🤷 Would very much appreciate your input
Tried this tonight... 1. You can get sheets printed at Staples for $2. I recommend seeing how the colors print (too dark, too light). Also - you can only print custom art, not copyright art. 2. Very thin paint tape is best. Peel quick before it starts drying. 3. You can get the same kind of paint at Michaels for cheaper. It's called Testors white enamel gloss. That's all I got so far...seems to work after some practice runs.
I've always wondered what I should use my overhead papers for, now I know ;)

Crazy work bravo ! I'm trying to do my own cards but the transpanrent sheets you recommand doesnt seem to exist anymore, do you have other recommandations ? Also, where did you get the high quality scans for the pokemons images ? Thanks man :)
Painting the back really makes these look legit. I've been looking at tutorials and they all look a bit faded without this step. Thanks so much for this!!
Where are you getting the high quality images and card templates? I've been searching and searching but nothing to be found. Especially the non Holo images. Also what ppi/dpi are your images at and printing at?
Hey the link to the transparent paper you're using is dead. Can you update/give more details? Also - does the gloss really set it apart from the original, comparing them in person? Have you tried faltter/matte finishings?
