as a guy who just moved from Cali to Zug I am very grateful for your channel. May i ask if you have top for good singletrack around here, no necessarily downhill? cheers !
I don't know the area around Zug too well, but I really enjoy the singletracks around Horgenberg. There is a short part of the Trail further towards Hirzel, but I usually like starting from about here ( 47°14'28.9"N 8°36'15.8"E ) and then just follow the singletrack towards Thalwil.
Ah, back when it was not overused - I used to go every week. Now a *lot* of the top dirt has gone, and large gravel has been put in frequently to keep the trail from being too blown out. Last time I was there the top section was like riding on large marbles for the first half of the trail. While it's still cool, I'm very wary of the condtion, especially at the mid/end of the summer where for the last years it was in a bit of a state (huge braking bumps everywhere, no dirt left, large rocks coming to the surface). Sadly I feel it's a bit of a victim of it's own success.
No, actually it was filmed on a hero 4 black and a gimbal!:D But I just upgraded to the 7 black and I'm going on a Biking Road trip for 10 days, so you can expect some new reviews soon!
Thank you!! A similar trail in Zurich would be the Antennen trail on the Uetliberg! Be aware though that taking bikes up in the train is not allowed, so if you're not feeling like doing something sneaky you'll have to pedal up ~30-40mins depending on fitness...
StratoPL the adlisberg Trail is pretty good. nice jumps, berms and technical features. But easy to ride. The Ascent from like Zürich HB is about 35min but if you start from Seilbahn rigiblick it’s 20 min
The Zugerberg trail is not far from Luzern and quite adequate for beginners! Also heard about the Gigeliwald trail, but never been personally... Hope that helps! -Giorgio
Thanks for the feedback! I want to make the videos cinematic, that's why I put the black bars... Maybe for this purpose it would be best to show as much of the trail as possible... I'll think about it! -Giorgio
Nice, I had the audio off first time I viewed this since usually such vids have no useful audio :) But you speak about this, I appreciate it a lot. Also the music is well balanced with speech. I hope you have more such videos on trails in CH:)
Good Review, wish I had seen this before I rode this trail. Rocky, straight, switchback - repeat 22 times. I took the single track to the right instead of hitting the pavement at the bottom and it was the best part of the whole ride ( even though I was lost half the time). Keep up the good work BTR!
hahah yea that sums it up pretty nicely! I guess I didn't see that part... The directions are very bad on there... I guess bikers are not their first priority... Cheers, -Giorgio
I’d call this more of a trail showcase, you kind of just talked about whats on the trail and where it is, as a suggestion if you want to make it more of a review talk about your own experiences and how it compares to other trails. But overall nice video
