The Long Halloween is my favorite Batman comic. The mystery is great and I love how the underutilized aspects of Batman like the crime families were front and center instead of Batman's super villains.
Horween recommends neatsfoot oil for their Chromexcel leather. 1000 Mile Boots are made with Horween Chromexcel. I clean with saddle soap. Then oil the boots. That's it. The oil will nourish, condition, protect, etc. Oil and water do not mix. A leather shoe saturated with oil is water resistant. Water will bead off. Water cannot go into a leather shoe full of oil.

P. R. D., Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Venom, The Punisher, Blade, Ghost Rider, X-Force, & The Sandman.
Probably not for batman's inspiration but i wouldnt be surprised if Riddler's inspiration was a mix of Jim Carrey's craziness and the New 52 comic Zero Year's depiction of how Riddler can actually be a credible threat.
i always love how much credit you'll give to brands like goodfellow. i'm so sick of menswear guides that are like, "if you don't want to drop a lot of money, you can go with a budget option like Ironheart or RRL." i am broke as hell, but i still want to look halfway decent. my entire wardrobe is a mashup of secondhand finds, gap/j crew stuff, and then probably 60% Goodfellow. so, on behalf of the "too broke for bespoke" crowd, Thanks Andrew!

Chips are more than what i need. I love their quality and fit. I have their packer, wellington, and Bay Apache logger. Im not in construction nor do i work as a firefighter or national park ranger so i dont need Nick's or White's level of construction. Chips are mkre than my needs, especially now that im retired. These appear to he Chip's version of Red Wings Iron Rangers and Wolverines 1000 Miler boots.
