The rainbow rose is beautiful! I've never seen anyone use a paint pen with a water brush like that. I want to try it! Oh and congrats on the sponsorship! YAY!
I totally was expecting a match stick painting. The flower is very pretty though. They need more colours to be fully competitive. I wonder if they will add more.
You can bake glassware decorated with paint pens in the oven. It makes it permanent. I don't put my mouth on the design but I did a T-rex "Hold on to your butts!" mug 2 years ago. It's black Posca outline on a white mug. It's still looking 95% the way I drew it after daily use. I don't recall time/temps but a quick search will fill you in.
Hi Sarah I'm so glad that my RU-vid reminds me to watch you, I don't like Poscas & I only have a Sharpie Black pen. When I saw the Brush Sharpies I was disappointed, I use Arteza Brush pens & they don't look like mine. The nib is not as flexible, though I think it could be that mine are Watercolour & I assume yours are Acrylic paint pens. The reason I don't like Poscas is I can never get the paint out, I have for a while used White Window Chalk pens & now I use White Uni Ball pens, It's a few shakes, pump & off I go. My brother kindly got me 8 of the pens & I have started my first one this evening, on my picture of Foxgloves no lines needed. It was a case of I used my watercolour pencils & inktense pencils for the background & instead of water I used my last White Chalk pen to blend the shades of blues with Yellow & I needed a pure White pen to use as highlights. I've been sewing my last few Felt makes too for my 40 Christmas gifts, I have 38 done & they are a mixture this year of my Felt Makes & My Art. I've created 4 Snowy mountains, A Frog on a wood roundal, a Mushroom, Whipped Cream in a mug on a Bauble, a Santa & my most proud is my 2 felt Dog Heads the first I have ever made along with a First Guinea Pig . See my RU-vid profile photo of the start of my Guinea pig, it has taken me 2 days to complete. I've got 6 Fall Felt Mugs to do with marshmallows & fix my Christmas mini bears too . Thank you SARAH. 😊
I was wondering about how the Sharpies smelled. I remember using Sharpies for work to do redactions and always had a hard time with the strong chemical fumes.
I love my new Sharpie paint pens/markers. I got them the moment I saw them in the store and they need more colors. 8:25 I still have my owl painting I did from your tutorial on my wall ❤️ 14:32 the Sharpies have a bolder color than Posca. I like both for their uses. I use Pintar paint markers for cost vs Posca. Sharpie paint pens has my heart right now. I used Sharpie to paint on bells, then sealed them with a waterproof mod podge.
That rainbow rose is GORGEOUS!! 🌹🌈 I like the Sharpies better because the hard nib of the Posca is always chewing up my paper, and it often floods on me. I was able to achieve a brush effect with the soft foam of the bullet nib! 🤗😍
