Doomers listening to a happy song play in their favorite game that for once isn't catering to their feelings of inescapable depression and existential turmoil:
I know I'm not alone in feeling the whiplash when this song first played! lmao Going back and listening to it though I really do like it! Such a shame that none of the times that it's used really struck a nerve for me personally, though...
Words fail to describe this. I couldnt speak when I first saw it, and I understood those who looked at true art and the feelings they felt, the splendor of true art. And thus, I also realize the gravity of what we are to do to this place.
This theme has such a strong positive vibe! Kinda makes me want to build a bomb train equipped with mobile rail guns and ram it into an alternate world futuristic fortress
I think they choose really poor part of the song for the first in-game appearance (during the end of the coronation), the moment felt so cheap with the chorus playing. But listening to this now, I find it pretty enjoyable. Another hopefull peice of art from Soken. Idk why I felt such rejection during credits and msq, but I really wasn't happy with how story was presented in general, so that might be the case.
God damn this expansion was hot ass. It's like they wanted some happy go lucky Disney expansion but botched it hard. It's both paced poorly and ends up too high stakes anyway.
I thought this was "Oil Spill" from Bob's Burgers at the start there. And then it turns into "This is Me" from the Greatest Showman. What was Soken on? D:
4:18 yea I just heard this for the first time and had to find this lol gives Lion King vibes big time (also for the Sonic heads…does this remind you of the Sonic Rush song Raisin’ Me Up?)
This was the first expansion I didn’t sit and enjoy the credits to.. I very much enjoyed the msq story, not hating on it, regardless of what few issues I do have with it. But imo, and I’m sorry to anyone that loves this song - but this is the biggest piece of dogshit.
Y'all saw a trailer with a cat eating a taco and you're mad about the game's content. Soken, He always gives me hope and happiness with his music. A man who's gone through some really tough personal battles, and he's here telling us all to smile.
If "nostalgia" has a theme, this is it, capturing both the warm fuzzies you feel thinking about bygone times, underlined with the melancholy of knowing you can never really have it back.
I admit this song threw me the first time I heard it but after a few listens I have to say i really like it. Definitely feels like it embodies the tone of the expansion.
Can people not cap. The song is mixed badly and the vocal performance is not the best take they could've recorded, the woman is fighting for her life on some of these notes. It COULD maybe be a good song but its definitely not used that well in the MSQ and is pretty bad for the standard of the music we expect for not just a credits song but the game in general.
I can completely get being surprised by the track, because it is very different to what we've had in the past, but for me it wasn't in a bad way, and I have found myself liking it more and more as i go 😊 I also loved the train montage 😆
The main vocals are a little weird but besides that I don't get the hate for the song at all. Everyone just says "its a Disney movie song" but I don't get why that's bad. I think FF players just expect every main expac vocal theme to be a sad aria like Flow or Dragonsong.
