Police Officer Billy didn't play that upholding the Chief, because he's an Officer. He is to be respected and commended, for his integrity, and noblility. There's some good good Officers in the world, in spite of their terrible misconduct and reputation, over many, many, years. Clearly out of control Chief.... First responsibility of a responding officer when arriving at a scene is: 1-Secure the scene (insure it's safe) 2-Identify, triage and treat the injured. 3-Determine if additional resources are needed, ie additional Officers, Fire, Medical, etc... 4-Investigate the accident. Did I miss something? What did this officer do wrong? Clearly this "chief" was out of control. Him calling the citizens of Bradley Beach, HJ moron's says a lot about him. ~Retired LEO, 35 years...
Greater Monmouth (and now the country) knows how professional the Bradley Beach PD is.... in the face of internal adversity, their main objective has been & is ALWAYS the safety of the community, citizens & fellow officers. We applaud all of them, past & present, except one.
Lol I quickly learned not to drive thru downtown Westfield at night..all it took was one single time driving there at night when a cop followed me for like 5 blocks..I was driving 24 miles an hour until we go to the border of the next town and he turned off..they’re just bored there and there’s very little going on at night
The nurse practitioner, the most trained of them all, just standing there telling others to check for a pulse. Can somebody get me a stethoscope she asks, and then does nothing. Since the nurse went to the hospital, I doubt there was anybody above an LPN there and maybe not even that.
They been checking for a pulse for 5 minutes now nothing but they keep checking knowing they have no pulse they killed him n now they don't want to do CPR

Disgraceful. Why is the chief showing up to a DUI investigation, off-duty and drunk and berating the investigating officer about a freaking jacket? Then he wants to "relieve" the officer and eventually suspend him over an issue that HE started? Madness. Madness and stupidity
There is more to this story than what it seems. If you look it up this chief has had many investigations in the past, many involving him verbally and physically abusing other officers in his department. Many witnesses in each of these incidents stated that he was intoxicated. I believe the sgt just had enough of the chief's bullshit and slammed him onto the car. Was it the right thing to do? Probably not but the chief definitely needed a reality check.
This chief is dui, and should have been arrested for public intox, interfering in and ongoing accident investigation. Abuse of authority. Glad he's gone. Sad way to end a career.
