Liked his work on McCartney's Flowers on the Dirt alongside Trevor Horn and others. That was 36 years ago - how does Stephen Lipson look so young! Hans Zimmer - soundtrack to Green Card. A beautiful soundtrack that never got much attention for some reason.
Lippo is one of my absolute favourite and most inspirational producers. More so than Horn or any other. I've learned more by listening to him than any other producer.
He's so humble.. I've exchanged a couple emails with him I never expected to happen. Mr Thompson is a consummate gentleman and for my drummers worth, a mention among my peers for most underrated.
Loved the interview. History of the electronic music and the music industry. I have my own collection of Edison 2, 4 min cylinders, blue Ambrolas, and their horned machines. Also read some of Buckminster Fuller's works and wondered if there was a Synergy connection. I have most of the Synergy albums on lp and CD. And even saw the Jupiter Menace movie and read The Jupiter Effect. No, the world didn't end. Looking forward to the second part of a future interview.

Great to hear your story! So glad you persevered, and survived. I only recently discovered Pendragon, and love the sound, the songs, and otherworldly yet well earthed 'sentience'
Another great guest and interview, thank you Claudio! I remember hearing Golden Age of Wireless the first time, the synth's on this album, especially Pirate Twins & Radio silence are sooo good. 🎶 ❤
Congratulations Daniel. The new album “More” is an absolute masterpiece. You and Colin make a fabulous musical team, each enhancing the virtues of the other. Please extend my congratulations to Colin. And I look forward to more albums from you!
It's so cool to see you talking, Clara I'm always watching your singing videos on RU-vid, and they're absolutely stunning! You've got a gorgeous voice, even when you're just chatting 😅 I'm a regular on her RU-vid channel! You're an incredible singer; your cinematic vocal improvisations always whisk me away. Simply fabulous! Thanks for this nice interview!
Big Fan of Clara I’ve got all her vocal samplelibraries, totally loved her vibes in Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Gundam (amazing stuff). Her voice? Incredible. Her expressiveness? On point. She’s seriously awesome!
Thank you so much for this interview. I regard Eivor, as one of the greatest vocalists, I've heard in my life time. To hear her and you mention, Sigur Ros, Hans Zimmer, I think you said Lisa Gerrard, and Massive Attack, was a wow moment. Sigur Ros played such a big part in my life. 2 of my favourite other vocalists, are the great Elizabeth Fraser, who has of course sung with Massive Attack (the Cocteau Twins, were one of the greatest bands in history, so influential), and Lisa Gerrard, and Dead Can Dance. I would love to hear Eivor collaborate with Aurora. You have no idea how rare it is for me to concentrate long enough to hear a whole interview, as my concentration is none existent with really bad PTSD. Eivor helped me back into being able to enjoy music again, after I'd become dead inside.
Richard is so down to earth and regular for a living legend. He's actually the ideal living legend, along side with Robert Wyatt. Richard seems like the kind of guy you'd run into somewhere warm in Europe and just chat for hours about all kinds of things.
Really special to hear a story with multiple artists contributing to a music production in this genre. It’s a new era in music production stories hearing about remote contributions being formed together into a solitary presentation. I did not realize Robert Rich served as a contributing “studio musician” for this album; very cool.
What a nice surprise to see Dark Sky Alliance joined by Robert Rich & Claudio for a discussion that gets into the deep & sometimes challenging process of collaborating and making music in a group. Catch Robert's insights on the broader meaning of "space music" at 38:45. Great music, thanks Claudio!
Alas, the interviewer is not so learned on German music. It seems that Michael is a dwarf among giants (Roedelius, Moebius, Eno) but the truth is that Rother is the best of the bunch. Better even than Bowie. Michael, in my humble opinion, is a shy and humble guy: I guess he is a beautiful human being also. His music is INCREDIBLE.
