It was during the 50s KFC began to franchise. By the time of this show, there were only a handful of KFCs. It wasn’t until Sanders sold interest in a large part of his chain, in the 60s, that he became the face of the franchise and very well known.
I was in a KFC in the 70s with a friend I was visiting in Ohio, and we had no idea that Col. Sanders was in the back of the store the entire time we were waiting on our food to be cooked. We were seated at a table when, lo and behold, the colonel himself brought our bucket of chicken to our table. We couldn't believe it haha. He asked us if we liked the original recipe since we ordered a bucket, and we said that we very much did. Then, his face got red, and he took the bucket of chicken and threw it in the garbage!!! I will never forget what he said: "Well youngins, you won't find any of my original recipe chicken here because all they know how to cook is SLOP!" Then, he took out a $50 bill (a lot of money at the time) and gave it to us. He said to drive 45 minutes south into Newport, Kentucky and get a bucket there and we will not be disappointed. We filled up our tank and drove south! I swear, the chicken at the KFC in Kentucky was INCREDIBLE. It was an amazing trip. We still had about $30 left over, too, and it was a memory I will nevsr forget.
He should be president he can do chicken right and he can do the country right you meet the qualifications he's over the age of 100 but unlike but unlike old falling up and down the stairs slow Joe and felon friendly Donald at least this old fella has talent in life to him and can steer the country in the right direction and you can also do chicken right

Jerry Lewis is such an A-hole. That poor woman was embarrassed on National television. Implying that she is so fat that adding 55 more pounds and she could play for a football team. It was nice of John Daly to give her all the money to make up for Jerry Lewis’s cruel remarks.
It’s a shame they didn’t know who he was! He’s so familiar to us😂but back then it was just another chicken shop I suppose, he’s a sweet old man damn good American too! I must say as a Brit😂I wish he was here today to show KFC how the hell they are supposed to feed grow cook bread chicken because it has gone awful!! The breading you pay most for half the time isn’t even on the chicken! Not only that but it’s just grease and plumbed up chicken
