I have lived from Hyannis Massachusetts to Seattle Washington, from Tampa Florida to Syracuse NY. And National Grid has the glitchiest, crappiest service of any utility I have ever had the misfortune of being STUCK buying power from. And they are theives. They put a smart meter on my house so they can monitor every single activity you performe. 100% SURVEILLANCE 100% of the time. The 7th circuit Court has already ruled that the data being stolen and sold has 4th amendment protections. And then said the utility can still collect the data. The International Brotherhood of Electric Workers said that the data being stolen is more valuable that the utility being sold. I guess that explains why they are spying on you using a smart meter 24/7. They are up to no good. The income tax only applied to wealthy AND it was only 1%. Now? Now they steal from EVERYBODY, and it's a lot more than 1%. Social security was supposed to be a way to give a pension to WWI widows so they would go hungry. Now? Now you can't take your newborn baby out of the hospital unless it's been given a social security number. What the hell does that have to do with WWI widows? Nothing. It was ALWAYS a way to number and track everybody. Freedom my ass.

What a joke. Let's see I used 100 therms based on my meter reading. They then adjust up by 1.0338 percent, (wonder what that's about) then they add a minimum charge like $12( I thought a minimum was only when you didn't use any gas in the summer, guess not) Then they charge for distribution at .8806 per therm, then a distribution adjustment of .4077 per therm (huh?), then an actual gas usage charge of .81220. Oh i forgot i got a credit of .38 cents for paperless billing (hah). Funny distribution charges drop to less than half the rate in the summer. Guess they don't do maintenance in the summer? Same infrastructure same costs? Since this is a utility the government sets the rates. That certainly explains why this bill is so F''d up...........
For National Grid gas customers in New York City, NY (Metro New York) - Is National Grid responsible for repairing/maintaining the gas service line up to and including the gas meter? At what point, exactly, does a building owner's responsibility begin....is it beginning where the gas has passed the meter onward throughout the building?
