Saw this the day before my Temple Owls faced Notre Dame in 2017. Temple got trounced, but the ND game weekend experience was great and this was probably my favorite part of it all.

This video is good because it shows the whole show but the only bad part is that the camera isn't always pointed to where you can see things happening.
Simple math says that Pixel resolution x brightness = battery drain. I've had this phone since Nov 24th and the battery isn't very good unless i keep it on low brightness with everything turned off. They turned the screen down where the nits output is the lowest of all so you can't see it outdoors on the brightest setting. In the end it turned out not to matter because the water resistant feature didn't work. It died after being dropped in the snow for a few seconds. Their policy WAS that it's water resistant, treated with nano-coating from the inside out which resists DOWNPOURS and EVERYDAY SPILLS in reality if water affects the phone it voids the warranty.
I'm really struggling with the decision on all the above phones. I have verizon on a corporate plan and I'm replacing a Galaxy S3. Was heavily leaning toward the G3. I wanted a change from the 4 straight galaxy phones I've owned.
Couple of questions: - why did you play the video on the Note 4 at full screen,while the other phones had 50% of the screen in black (huge battery saver for amoled)? - these tests should be run at the same brightness . Even though you had them at max brightness, the g3 looked like the screen was dimmed,while the note 4 was brighter than the sun. - I don't find that these types of tests are accurate. On my Exynos note 4,I get terrible battery life, and I believe that it's because the cpu ramps to 100% when you touch the screen,maybe to make it run smooth,but it destroys the battery when using the device in a productive way. I don't know if the snapdragon version does the same, but I suspect that it doesn't, because the SD version appears to have much better battery life.
Hi, thanks for watching! 1. The video started half screen, but I changed it to full screen right after I switched the camera off. So it was full screen on all. 2. How would you suggest the brightness be set? Full brightness was/is the fairest way I can think to do the test. Yes, the G3 is dimmer, but that's a feature of the phone and I can't do anything about it. 3. You're probably right about touching the screen and the different Note 4 versions. I have not tested it so I don't know.
John Hanlon thanks for the replies. I think review sites tend to test phones at a specific brightness, which we measure using a light meter. Obviously, that's not something that we all have on hand, but I just wanted to point out that some phone's have a mum l much higher max brightness, and that can skew the results a bit.
Ive regretted getting the G3. Its a good phone but I feel like it barely makes it to the good phone category. The s5 the htc one the nexus the moto x the note and now the droid turbo all shit on it.
The G3 may have subpar battery life and benchmark numbers, but there's more to a good phone than those numbers. Over the S5 it has double the built-in storage at 32gb, a bigger higher resolution screen while keeping the phone very reasonably sized, and laser focus on the camera. Over the Droid Turbo it has a much faster shutter speed, removable battery and expandable storage, and a more sleek body design. personally I wouldn't care to carry in my pocket a phone as big as the Note 4. I've never noticed any lag on my G3 and battery life isn't that big an issue when you can always swap out the battery.
When dr. Dye directed our band playing this song we didn't sound nearly this good! But the players are much better than we are. But it was a great experience to have him direct us!
