I have learned from google not too long ago the top five universities in America are:Harvard,Boston,Yale, New Haven,Princeton,New-Jersey,Colombia,NY,Bercley,California.
PLEASE spell BERKELEY correctly if you are going to comment. I am from the British Isles but I graduated from Berkeley. It is a wonderful place and I am proud and honoured to have studied there. Call it Cal or simply the University of California. As the first of the chain it does not need to have the town added.
I do not know exactly when the rot set in, but there was a story more than 5 years ago about a professor who gave a student a B+ and was threatened with a lawsuit by the student's parents. Amazingly, the authorities at Harvard came down on the student's side. arguing that since a B at Harvard was worth an A at most universities, he should get the A. Arrogance, and a betrayal of standards. After all, if that is the case that a Harvard C or even D+ equates to an A at lower ranked schools students functioning at that level should also get an A. A Harvard B would equate to a B at the other Ivies, Stanford (not Standard Ford as the title of that section suggests) MIT, etc. I also note that in 2007, they were sitting on an Endowment Fund totaling over $35 billion. The was a small uproar over this and Harvard finally decided to spend some of that money on education instead of building up an ever bigger fund. Families making less than something like $140,000 would get free tuition Note that Cambridge is still expensive to live in but a lot of students no longer had to take out loans for th $46,000 tuition. Harvard has some problems.
Besides some years ago the Central European University sent me an email inviting me to study master, I don't know how they got my email address. I replied saying I couldn't study at ceu because I didn't have money. two months later ceu again sent me an invitation to study a master. I gave them the same answer. I think I was not a man with weak knowledge because a great iinstitution put its attention in me.
I am bachelor in physics and mathematics. I discovered some formulas related to an expansion into partial fractions, published now at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, I discovered when I was a student. They have been downloaded from among others : Yale university, university of Toronto, university of Adelaide university of Massachusetts, University of Linkoping , Norwegian University of Science and Technology , university of Cincinnati, university of Illinois and more. Besides , I am member of the Swiss Mathematical Society. And here I am !!! working like vigilant because public Mexican Universities don't want to hire me, they don't reply many emails I have sent them since many years ago: Autonomous Universities of Baja California, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Aguascalientes, Queretaro, del estado de México, del estado de Morelos, de Nuevo León, de San Luis Potosí, Universidad Veracruzana, Universidad Juarez del Estado de Durango .

I dont remeber how Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria nor the various other countries the US intentionally put to crsis benefited global peace or intrmational security. If anything, the USA directly propping up, funding and making the conditions for setting up various terr or groupsy, was a huge fail for international security. Never mind the middle East, the Congolese situation in Africa, Cuba and Haiti as well as Jamaica in the Carribean, Chilé, Ecuador, Honduras, Guatamala in Latin America direcly were either occupied or had their governments overthrow by the USA to serve US interests.

It's funny you picked that particular scandal to focus on. Harvard is hundreds of years old, and they have other scandals. You just come off as being anti woke. In other words, asleep, unconscious, unaware. Enough said!
