I preferred the rhythm of the blues track with the POD but the Boss lead tone had more presence and sat better in the track, I am biased though as I have the POD and still use some patches from it, I used to use the amp modeling as a back up to my 1973 WEM Dominator MKII, however, I got sick of lugging it around and taking the valves out when transporting it and then having to fit them again and so I used the POD for gigs, I no longer gig and use a VOX Valvetronix VT40X modelling amp at home but still use the POD for some of the effects.
I bought this guitar and also the Fusion T25th, I cant figure out why they produced those lanyards and why they put them in with the guitars, I would have appreciated some 25th picks or a 25th cleaning cloth, something practical! So, I have had them for over a year, I am happy with both, guitars, they sound good and play good, the TE-25th was set up well, my strings were not too high, but the Fusion T was too low for me and I had to make an adjustment, the only thing I don't like are the fretboard dots, they are black and are very hard to see against the roasted flame maple fretboard. My TE came with the Elixir strings but the Fusion T didn't, however, considering I wasn't aware that either guitar came with them when I ordered them I am not really bothered by them, I was considering making a clear pick guard for the Fusion but it hasn't developed any scratches and so I have scrapped that idea. I was confused as to why they went with a firemist gold colour as silver is traditionally associated with the 25th anniversary!
It is so funny to read comments. Who plays "real" guitar are sh...ng on this product. Of cause if you play it frequently and developed these "blisters" and have a strong finger grab and many other things. But I play guitar may be ones a year, and every time I start it hurts my fingers, made my palm hurt and I keep not pressing hard strings, so sound come like a sh...i and I am not impressed and put my guitar back to its place. This product may by, I am still thinking, may be gives me some satisfaction and fun.
I could definitely tell that the newer Boss sounded better but yeah the Pod after all these years was not bad. (I own a Boss Katana Go and a Line 6 Pod Go, both of which are excellent. I also own a 100w Marshall that never gets played because i cant get the volume much beyond 1!)
This Les Paul Tribute is an amazing guitar. Hands down worth buying. I picked one up in a guitar shop in Iowa for 700 bucks. Plays amazing and has become one of my favorite guitars to play out of my arsenal of guitars. 🤘🏽
You can't really do a come side by side comparison with anything line 6 because on the internet it became trendy to hate everything line 6 for absolutely no reason.
The two adapters, passing USB-C to USB-A, actually limits the speed of the connection. It's no longer to USB-C standards but up to USB 3.0. Maybe their USB-C implementation is flawed or this is a weird incompatibility with your computer.
I own a processor that sits in the middle of these two: a Line 6 HD500X floorboard. They did such an amazing job on that thing; it's very thorough. I've compared it to my actual tube amp and the difference is so minute. You're talking like 10%, where the amp has a certain compression going on. The processor benefits from that difference, particularly with high gain tones. Plus, some of the amp models on there are so dead-on, having owned some of these amps myself. The Plexi, the Uberschall, the SLO, Hiwatt, The Mesa (it's a Recto, but feels and sounds much more like a Mark series). I can go straight into the unit, set up a tone and feel totally confident gigging with just that. I don't even feel a need for IRs with it since some of the cabs on the unit are actually really good when you experiment with what cab goes on what amp model youre using, the virtual mic choices, and using some creative EQing in some cases. In a recording, you absolutely cannot tell I'm not using a real amp...this thing is miles above the old Line 6 bean tones.
Hm, technically I’m interested, but a beginners instrument definitely a no go. I recommend to start with a classic/nylon stringed guitar coz the beginners fingertips won’t hurt that much. After some time it is easy then to change to steel strings with only a little pain. They will learn to endure it easily and won’t give up. Yeah, more than one guitar is needed but I guess we all have more than just one or two... 🤔 Thx for doing this vids, go on ❣️🎸 🖖
if you recorded an album with the line 6 id wouldnt know the diffrence. i have the HD pro and it has.....sound that come out of it. using diffrent guitars i can achive diffrent sounds etc... we all know if your good, then anything you play through will sound good as well. this last week looking for something to use for live preformance i acttully got a used HD pro for 75$, it was missing a knob.. i got some crapy zoom thing for like 30$ and then i got a used HEADRUSH MX5. all 3 have some cool sounds. onething though, and i havent looked to deep, the headrush provids scenes and delay trails/spill over. the other two as far as i can tell do not. that one added feature makes a modern unit more apealing to me. i have to admit some of the old fx units have still got usfullnes and at a price thats stupid cheep. for bulk fxs id say a 100$ processor has value still. i also turn off all the amp and cab bs becuse i have an actual amp i like lol. so im judging based on delay, modulation and wha/filtering. i really dont care for a 100+ diffrent amps in an external unit becuse theres so may digital plug ins that do a better job. this for me me is all for use on a stage....

Heel rustig opbouwen om eelt te kweken , daarna rust pauzes , en dan weer spelen. De "pijn" hoort er bij en wordt minder. Een snaar moet gevoeld worden. Ook waar je tussen de frets de snaar indrukt is van invloed op de intonatie en kan een akkoord maken of of dissonant laten klinken vandaar dat een goeie postionering van de vingers belangrijk is. In het goeie vakje zitten is niet genoeg. Gelukkig beginnen steeds meer vooraanstaande influencers en content creators die zelf muzikant zijn dit speelgoed als speelgoed te bestempelen en zich er tegen uit te spreken. Voor wat synths te spelen, oke , maar ook hierin biedt het instrument beperkingen. Als het €70 euro zou kosten dan zou je het nog kunnen overwegen maar €500 slaat nergens op
I’ve been learning guitar at an extremely slow pace simply due to arthritis pain in my left hand. Basically it boils down to maybe a maximum of 30 minutes of actual chord shapes before my hand begins to hurt. And yes, that’s with breaks, so you can imagine how little I’m able to accomplish before having to put it down. Yet obviously, learning shapes and transitions to other chords takes additional time and practice. So while I’m aware the Aeroband isn’t really a guitar, it looks like a great tool to extend my practice sessions without over stressing my hand, so that I could get these shapes and transitions down better (muscle memory) and then work on a real guitar and have a better chance of actually putting together some changes from a tune. I know the shapes directly translate, and with additional pressure on a real guitar neck, things might come together more efficiently. Would that be a fairly accurate assumption?

The line 6 software isn’t meant to be used that way anymore. They have drivers for the big editing softwares like logic and garage band. Although the Apple m series are not supported
Excellent review. Everything you want to know and a comprehensive playing demo. Dude is mean player, knows what clean-or-dirty actually means, knows that controls matter, case-or-carry-bag etc. Is it a real Les Paul? I agree with him - it is. Mine is Gold Top with mahogany neck and one-piece mahogany body - the rest all as he says. The timber and hardware is all the real deal - it's a real one. Don't leave it around backstage or someone will steal it - it's a real one. The hardest thing to understand is why Gibson do these short "runs" and chop-and-change each year instead of reliably churning out their most accessible and desirable Les Paul-and-other-Tributes for years. Bunch of idiots? Not my problem, I've got mine. Is it good? Absolutely! But take a listen to his most very excellent demo for yourself. I'm not getting rid of mine...... that's for sure.

i would take any device that can load third party impulse responses...quality impulses (i like york audio ones) make all the difference in the world even when it comes to old units that are supposedly outdated....
I have Les Paul's and Strats. Each have their purpose. I could not guess which was which, however, in your tests, it just so happens that the Strats sounded better to me in all instances. Which I was surprised by. They were brighter, had more clarity, cut through better, etc. I guess I just prefer the longer scale length and brighter less dark tone. Thanks for the comparison.
I just reviewed this for Amazon and you are 100% correct. I think like you said if you use this it doesn’t help when you try a real guitar 🎸.Two totally different instruments.For the price it’s not worth it
I am 72 April.... my hands are shot.... Once I played hard rock for fun with the guys but I have not played at all for over 10 years.... With my arthritis its hard to make quick movements, maybe not having to apply pressure it would be different.... I do not think so..... Amy way 500.00 dollars is not such a big investment if I could learn to play differently..... But honestly, bar cords and bending strings is just about all I know... Your thoughts...Rog
I really think it is cool as a MIDI Controller... But it is too expensive... And also, it can not do vibratos, and that limits a lot of the "strings stuff" you can play with that... It is more expensive, but the Jamstik can do so much more than that... If I had to pick one, I would pay more to get the better product... If this one costs about 250 dolar I would buy it hands down... But for more than 500? There is no way
A very (almost) unbiased review :) i think it's hard for a guitarist to be objective about this product, especially one that can input midi with a regular keyboard. I think it may have been a fairer comparison if your wife had tried a strat style guitar with nice light strings ...9s, rather than that bulky old Epiphone lol. And, interesting that she said as a beginner she had fun with it. IMHO this product is pretty useless for a guitarist, but maybe could be enjoyed by a beginner although the transition to a real guitar would be just as hard. However, $500 ish for a bit of fun... you'd need to be quite wealthy and I'm sure $500 spent more wisely could give someone a lot more fun :)) So maybe at around $99 product could have legs.
I can hear the XT every time. The distortions all, has this weird sustain on them, and the "tube" algorithm has this very distinctive sound to it that loops. Anyone that has used one for a while will learn the pattern in its distortion very quickly.
