I just received Olaplex 2 wks ago and its great, no bad smell or anything at all. Its a good product. I also have K18. They both work pretty much the same.
Noticing that many aren’t realizing that the head is round. It has a natural curvature and if we don’t follow it, the wefts won’t lay flat. Beautiful job
You know, you approach this very scientifically, which I appreciate as a logical person. A lot of people look at hairnstyling as an artistic profession - which it is - but, there a lot of knowledge and logic that goes into it as well. You show and explain this balance wonderfully.

I am really struggling keeping some (not all) of my current tape-ins from almost entirely pulling out my hair and hanging by the corners. I have the correct amount of hair sandwich in between, yet I’ll find them still sandwich together, but hanging halfway off with my hair ripped out. I’m not getting them wet anytime close to installation and I just can’t get to the bottom of this. Any ideas?

Could 10 volume work on my roots? I have baby fine hair and I used 20 volume to bleach my entire head. And I lighted like 4-5 levels. I’m probably about a level 5 or 6 naturally. And I was like a level 9 or 10 blonde on my natural hair after bleaching
I want to thank you for this video. I moved from California to the middle of the west Texas desert and can’t go to a stylist currently. I was paying over $400 in California to get my hair done. Being an entrepreneur, I will not be spending that right now as I am starting g a couple businesses here. I am doing my hair at home and it’s almost platinum. I would have laid one foil on top of each other nd make sure to put the 7 vol on those ends a bit not overlap. Just nice to make sure the ends are slightly brighter… really shouldn’t have used the 30 on the ends after all that!!!
Tried the K18 spray in and then masque. I don’t know why but the spray smelled a bit like NaOh- and seemed to draw some of my color out of lightened hair, turning them almost white- so I’m leery of this, but the mask in amazing and I use it often to promote youngish hair. This formula feels a bit more bouncy and like natural hair, but not necessarily as strong and sleek as Olaplex. I like it but also noticed that a day or two after the hair feels a tiny bit dry as if you had hairspray or salt spray in- May be a little alcohol in the formula drying things out.
K18 is a lifesaver!!! I left Olaplex a couple years ago and will never go back. I actively seek out salons who offer K18 - I won't waste time going anywhere else.

Just a note: if you look closely you will see her natural hair color is neutral- look at your natural hair in the sun- do you see golden, red or copper? Your hair will pull brassy- biggest thing to consider

Thank you!! 😘 I do have a question tho; just lifted my regrowth, then did bleach bath to finish lifting the warmth out of the mids and lengths left over from the first round maybe 3 weeks - a month ago (I should have done 2 rounds the first time, but was so not feeling it by that point), and then toned with 20 vol but I hate the tone I turned out! They didnt have my normal Formula so I winged it... Bad idea... Am I safe to re tone with a cooler option? And if so, do I need to break up the existing toner with a bleach bath (at 10 vol maybe) or can I go right over top/as is?
