I put a date seed in a bag with wet towel. I can’t recall when I did it but I just found it and it had both a root (about 2” long) and its green stem. I was shocked because 1) I forgot I planted it, and 2) that it had a stem! So I just planted it in a small coconut core pot in a bag to see if it will continue growing. If it does, I will upgrade the pot. It was a lovely surprise!
It appears that some of the pots have a bit of white mould developed on the top of soil, which means that the reason some of the pineapple are discoloured is because the soils is infected with fungi. If anyone develops that problem a little spray of hydrogen peroxide 3% (you can dilute it further, but I didn’t - HP3% doesn’t harm the plant - but kills off white mould on the soil and kills off the gnats flies) to spray on the soil to kill off the white mould that is killing off your pant. Also - don’t overwater it and keep it close to the light source and sun (if the sun is allowed for that particular plant).
Thank you so much for this video. I saw this a the grocery store we shop at and had to have it. I have never seen a Euphorbia Milii before and had no clue how to care for it. Now I do know after watching your video, it’s very thorough.
Thank you for this video! I am looking to purchase some mandarin, and tangerine seeds because the trees and saplings sold nowadays are worth an arm and a leg.
