It was a countrywide expectation during the time that we were there. We took our masks off briefly to eat. There’s nothing stupid about doing your part to help prevent the spread of a global pandemic!
Yamagata, located in the Tohoku region of Japan, is rich in nature, food, and culture, including mountain worship at Mount Haguro, Yamadera Temple, and Mount Zao, boat rides down the Mogami River, delicious rice, wagyu beef, ramen, taro stew, high-quality fruit, and sake. If you have the opportunity, be sure to visit.
It’s great video where you’ve reported by your own explanation based on the real experiences with your own eyes and tastes which must be far from the “Stereotypes” as well as clapped out expressions produced by the most of foreign people. In this sense your statement and viewpoint is so unique. The motivation for you to visit Tomonoura (the scenery after dawn is amazingly beautiful!) is sympathetic as a fan of serial works from Hayao Miyazaki, which tells us your profound understanding and knowledge about Japanese Animation. But as far as the first part of this video is concerned there are missing so many points. I don’t know what your plan to visit Ashikaga Flower Park is, but Ashikaga city is not only famous for the flower garden but also so many historical sites such as Ashikaga School (the oldest school founded in 15th century), Bannai-ji temple (where is famous as Ashikaga clans family graves. Main building is designated as National Treasure.), Yagumo-jinjya shrine (the symbolic shrine which has significantly been worshipped by not only citizens but also rulers of the district.), Watarase-gawa river and Watarase-bashi bridge, the bridge over it. (It’s not only given beautiful views but also been famous since they’re sung by one of the famous songs from Chisato Moritaka, one of the Japanese female singer and songwriters.) I don’t know how much you’re interested in Japanese history and culture but it’s a bit disappointing to see only the flower garden despite within just a few kilometers circle there have been so many historical and cultural heritage sites which must be worth visiting. I dare say you’re a person who can evaluate the true value of our culture and history here is so much tied up with the culture. If you visited there you must’ve been moved by the overwhelming presence as well as its historical significance.
Thank you so much for your detailed comment! We are absolutely interested in Japanese history. If we would’ve known that these sites were Ashikaga we would’ve visited them. Fortunately, we plan to return to Ashikaga very soon and will try to visit some of these locations and maybe even produce a video about them. Thank you for your insight.

The vending machine from which you bought your drink is a vending machine with a winning lottery ticket. The amount displayed is a roulette, If the numbers match, you get a free drink!
We had no idea that those vending machines had a lottery system! How cool! We’ll make sure to be aware of that next time! Thank you for letting us know. Hopefully the person who used the machine after us was able to receive the free drink.
Thank you for your visiting to our countryside and reported lots. You know there are so many unique districts all over Japan, please go to there and report much by your own view points . By the way, I(Japanese, living near Tokyo) have not been to Ashikaga and Tomonoura, hahaha.
It’s our absolute pleasure to visit the countryside in your beautiful country. We plan to stay in Ine and a few other areas when we come back. Thank you for your comment! Ps. Please take a few days to treat yourself to a visit to Ashikaga and Tomonoura, you won’t be disappointed 😄
I like your editing. It looks very well put together. I always wondered what you experienced on your Japan trip... It looks like you had a very good time. By the way..... I would have never tried to eat that squid! 🤣
Hey! Thanks very much. I enjoy putting the videos together for you to watch. Japan offers a very unique and memorable experience. It’s funny because I eat sushi all the time, but the dried squid tested my limitations! Kelly loved them though, she was snacking on them the whole time we were there. Lol
Maybe I just don't know about it because I'm not well informed, this was my first time watching the inbound tourist video featuring Ashikaga Flower Park. The same is true for Tomonoura. Ashikaga Flower Park is famous for its wisteria and roses, as well as its winter illuminations. My wife also bought an annual pass and has been there many times to take photos and videos. My wife says that most inbound tourists are Asian and there are few tourists from Europe or the North & South America or Australia, New Zealand an so on. One reason for this may be that it is difficult to find on public transport. My wife always goes by car on the highway, but it takes nearly two hours from the western area of Tokyo's 23 Special Wards.
Thank you for your comment. When we visited Ashikaga Flower Park and Tomonoura, we were pleasantly surprised to find that these spots were mostly frequented by locals. It created a more authentic and intimate experience, where we felt more connected to the local culture and traditions. Unlike some of the more popular tourist destinations in Japan, we didn't encounter many international tourists, which allowed us to enjoy these beautiful locations in a more serene and less crowded setting. It was a refreshing contrast and made our visit feel even more special and genuine.
We love Japan and its people. This video only shows a very small portion of our travels while there we actually did get to see some of the Japanese countryside and it is magnificent! I’ll be posting those videos soon. Thank you so much for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Following on from the previous video, I was impressed to learn that this visit to Japan was based on in-depth research into Ueno, Tsukiji, and other areas' history and current situations.
The name Kabukicho comes from the Kabukiza Theater, which was only planned but never built, I think only a few Japanese people, or even Tokyoites, know about this. An also, for someone like me for whom Shinjuku is part of my daily life, instead of the beautiful official name of Omoide Yokocho (Memory Alley), old, somewhat vulgar name of Shon-ben Yokocho (Piss Alley) is a familiar one.
Dude! I'm glad you made this video. I always wondered what all you got to see while you were there. You said you rode a train..I wonder if it was on Track #5 ? 😁
Haha I see what you did there! Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I'll have several more videos coming soon. Did you see the first one? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6MCDPvEjQBA.htmlsi=tsdZrDsed-uD4SeY
