@@shaunhanson5037 This is amazing 🫶!! Really happy to have inspired you to sign up for your first IM Thun in 2025. It you be a great one and you will rock 💪!! We will see us there for sure. Enjoy the journey until the race day and train smart 🙏!! If there's anything we can help you with tips or advices feel free to contact me here or on insta 🤳! Vamos 💪
Thanks for the video Looked at it a couple of times already 1 week out of my first IM there :) Just hope it won’t rain too bad as i am with TT, carbon wheels and not a disc brake :) I see there are some technical descents ALL the best to all participants next week, see ya all there
Thanks, Nathan! Glad you liked the video. Don't worry, the descents aren't too technical. I’m sure you’ll rock your first IM! Good luck and enjoy the race! 🚴♂️💪. See you there
Thank you for putting this together - it's an awesome resource for us out-of-towners. Are there any sections that are known for their omnipresent headwind that we should know about?
Hi 🙋🏻♂️. Thank you for the comment. Happy it helps and that you liked the video. Last year I had a bit of head wind on the bridges section, but it's not always like this. I hope ot helps. Wish you a great time during the race. enjoy it 💪
Salut, je vais l'ironman le 7. J'ai un shiv specialized mais pas très puissant car 1.72m et 64kgs. J'ai 52x36 11x28...tu penses que ça passe ou il me faut un 11x30 ?
Thats awesome. Yes the climbs are tough but also really beautiful. We will be back there this year again to discover other routes. If you have any tips let us know. Cheers and stay tuned for upcoming videos.
Hi kushagramehta . I will tell more about Humango on the next videos but what I can already tell you already now is that Humango is a great tool to plan your season or if you have any specific race/goal that you want to train for. It is really easy to use, the AI does a real good job planning and re-planning and helping you get the best out of the time you have to train! If you want to find out more about it give it a try. Visit Humango website and Sign up for a free month. If you still have questions feel free to contact me.
And to answer you questions regarding Humango vs Strava: they are two totally different platforms. With Humango you can Plan and execute your workouts on the app. Sync your workouts to your watch and platforms like Zwift and etc. Chose a training plan the would suit you to achieve your goal and etc. Strava is a good platform to connect with other athletes, sync your complete workouts and other features.
Thx a lot. Wish you all the best for your first IM in Thun..You chose a great one 👍! I have two other IM Thun race videos on my youtube page too, 2022 and 2023 edition, check it out! Good trainings and see you there at the finish line 💪!
Hi. I had to make the elastic rubber longer by connecting a second long rubber to the one that came with the radar and i also used a hook and loop strap to keep it more secure.
Love the music! I'm looking to sign up for this for 2024. I'm debating my road or tri bike, are there any hairpins? I took my road bike to Ironman Nice last year because of all the climbing and the advanced technical descents. The video doesn't show the course to be as complicated as Nice, can you compare or recommend between the road and tri bike? Thanks! See you in July!
Thx a lot! Yes go for it, its a beautiful race and the bike course is really awesome! I recommend the TT bike. No need for a road bike on this one. No hairpins. You will be fine with the TT 💪! happy trainings and see you there 🏁
Thank you Robert! Yes absolutely! We did the 2023 edition together again. It was brutally hot but much better. Check out the video we did of the 2023 IM Thun . Greetings ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EBfPTz-FpJE.htmlsi=-gZPcf_E7_wgAJGG
Great video ! I am thinking of doing this race as my first full IM and I wanted to ask if the climbs are so steep like going up a wall or are there more spread out in terms of gradient and nice to climb ?
Hi Patricia. Thank you, happy you liked the video! Yes, go for it! Im sure you will like it! The region is very beautiful and bike course is amazing!!! No the climbs aren't steep at all! There's only only very short part "around a few 100m" that is actually steep. The rest is more like rolling hills! I released a video showing/explaining the official bike course. Check it out. If you need infos hmu 👍! See you there 💪
The 5 climbs in Rappi are really different than the ones here in Thun. The Elevation gain per 90k are basically the same and in my opinion the climbs in Thun are not so steep "just one of them" but longer compared to Rappi. It is really a very beautiful course!! Hope to see you there next year 💪! Vamos 🏁
@@Alexander-sf4ft many pros and cons... if you prefer rim brakes just go with it, i know tons of athletes that are still riding with rim brakes. You gotta choose whats best for you 😊! I know that i would neverEver go back to rim brakes 🫡! Salute 🙋🏻♂️
Hey Ironman 💪! Congrats on your finish again 👏! that was a very tough race! Yeah the place is really incredibly beautiful! See you maybe next year again! Cheersand VAMOS 🏁
I love to ride with disc wheel. For this course it was hard on the climbs but it worked. If you are not used to ride full disc then i would recommend a normal set for a course like this one. And yeah, if its raining i opt for a normal set too! Cheers
Great video - looking for a course to do my first full distance for next year. I always thought it was a hilly course but it looked more rolling. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to Thun in 3 weeks time. Looks a course that is not technical and certainly a lot of areas to attack post the declines.
You're welcome! Hope it helps to show a bit of everything. Yeah it's not technical and definitely lot of areas to attack 💪! See you there. come say hi on race day or registration day. #vamos 🏁
you guys DO know that that part is the littering zone allowed to disposal the cups on the floor right ;) ?? Otherwise yes sir, always throwing away in the trash cans :) ! Cheers
You welcome!! Hope it helps if you don't know the course! How awesome its your first one, im sure you will rock it!!! If you see us filming come say hi 🙋🏻♂️! See you there 🏁
Thx for the comment. yes it was really terrible but we are glad that it was nothing very serious. Yeah we will.do it again for sure 😊!! Hope to see you there too. #vamos
