People see that 300hp and think damn thats actually a lot of power! But, then you realize that's at the crank, not wheels, and then after it gets to the wheels through that automatic and driveshaft, it's gotta push almost 5000lb. Not ideal for only 300hp at the crank.
I have a 2012 one of there first years they made the motor and it has 130000k without major repair. Simple things like spark plugs, belts, idler pulley, alternator once, new battery, new tires, oil changes every 3000 miles. Been a great motor so far. I understand they had something with sand in the block after casting that they didnt fully clean out. Im thankful that I dont have that problem.
I drove a Pacifica from Detroit to Orlando and they are pretty quick for vans. Gear ratios are different too and FWD vehicles put down more power than anything RWD (gotta account for loss from the trans to the rear end) @@robbuck8242
it has 287 bhp so most ppl just round up too 300 bc yeah. it sounds stock though but who knows... there are some ppl crazy enough to modify a damn Pacifica and he could be one of them
