While Frank was at Glasgow School of Art he did a lot of figure drawing. Since then has drawn many figures - specially created characters - for his children’s books and illustrations. So why not go to his Happy Drawing! channel, check out his tutorials and not only learn how to draw figures and create fantastic characters for yourself but also learn how to draw everything from Captain Jack Sparrow to the Mask of Tutankhamun, from Stonehenge to a Labrador dog. You'll also pick up invaluable tips on illustration and comic book techniques. You can do it!
That's the Olympic. The Titanic has closed bow promenades, while the Olympic has open bow promenades. I forgive you though, they look insanely similar lol.
Many thanks for checking out my tutorial and your correction on the detail. Apart from that I hope you liked it! Good luck with all your future artworks and Happy Drawing!
Bloody good drawing Frank! - If you don't mind me asking, what type of colouring Pens are those? I like the fine tips to them! I've never seen fine colouring pens before.
@@happydrawingwithfrankrodgers Thanks for letting me know Frank. I'll check them out - hopefully they have something similar or the same over here in Australia.
I'm very pleased you liked it. Thanks for your request but I'm concentrating on my 'Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt' series at the moment. Good luck with all your future artwork and Happy Drawing!
@@MrColza1 Many thanks for using my tutorial and I hope your drawing pleased you. Unfortunately I don't do reviews. Good luck with all your future artworks and Happy Drawing!
I'm so pleased you like it... especially as you are from that cultured and ancient land. I hope you enjoy the others coming up in the series. Happy Drawing!
Really good Frank.. I've always liked Anubis. He's one Egyptian God that's always fascinated me. I actually did a project on him when I was in Year 4. Thanks for the great drawing Frank.. I might try this one.
Ha ha! Yes, I've been missing in action for a while but am back in the groove. Many thanks for your kind comment and I'm delighted you liked the tutorial. Happy Drawing!
This is a nice drawing, thank you for sharing. Also I'm genuinely excited about the series you announced because Ancient Egypt was among my favourite things growing up, and its visual culture still fascinates me greatly.
@@happydrawingwithfrankrodgersI was also wondering what that fold in the paper that you had your hand on, were you using that as kind of a vertical guideline to her face? Your hand couldn't have gotten dirty, so I wondered why it was there. 😊
@@cathystaub4645 Thanks for your question. I used that piece of paper to prevent my hand from smudging my pencil lines as I moved up the paper. When you're using a soft pencil like I was (a 5B) it's advisable to do that in order to keep your drawing clean.
The way I draw my ships is that I draw the starboard side, and only the starboard side. I usually start with the stem of the bow and work my way to the stern, the ship looks really good in the end because of the way I make details. I might do a tutorial soon on how to do this.
Thanks for getting in touch. My rectangle measures 25cmx 20cm... but of course you can draw it to any size using those proportions. Good luck with your artwork and Happy Drawing!
Helped me alot, my first try was not too good, but I'll give it a second try with your tutorial... (One of my friend asked me to draw starry night for them, by seeing my previous drawing by your tutorials)
I'm very pleased to hear it helped you. Well done for trying again and good luck with your second try. Many thanks for using my tutorial and Happy Drawing!
@@happydrawingwithfrankrodgers I traced it using a white paper taped to my computer screen, then painted in all the colors.. now going to go look for a red frame to place it on my Beatles altar..
I am very pleased to hear that my tutorial helped you. Your nice comment is much appreciated. Many thanks for visiting my channel and good luck with all your future artworks. Happy Drawing!
The distance between the eyes is usually the width of an eye. Draw lightly first of all until you are sure of your line... also rest the heel of your drawing hand on a piece of clean paper to prevent pencil smudging. Many thanks for using my tutorial... good luck with you future artworks and Happy Drawing!
I agree about the ads... but that's how RU-vid operate. I hope you persevere in your attempts - many thanks for using my tutorial and good luck with your future artworks. Happy Drawing!
