I bought the valve caps online from amazon for my X3, i think they are aluminium but the internal thread is not long enough to cover the existing valve thread which leaves a few mm's exposed, so threw them in the bin in disgust. Just something to be aware of!
Cool video, awesome job. First what kind of lift is that? Doesn’t look like it’s built into the floor. Second question I have to do this job for my gs350 and since I don’t have a lift can I just preload the suspension from the lower rotor/lower control arm before torquing the bolt?.
I'm just curious which offset bracket arm did you used as replacement if ever mentioned since lexus catalog offers a -20, 00 and +20 offset brackets. Just don't want to make any mess to my suspension
The part you found burned up looks like resistor (just like the one for blower motor) and what kills stuff like that is low battery voltage and since have off electrons on bmw alive wen your engine off. Like you open driver’s door fuel pump tuns on you do that to many times battery goes down and burns up fuel pump control module. If you need do anything with it you have to connect charger to car battery specially if battery not new or it’s cold outside. All it takes is taking to your buddy wen your truck or door is open. Wen I work on them only with charger connected or jumper cables just to run diagnostic with scanner and engine off. Every bmw I’m getting to work on is after it set for some time owner was getting something in out of a car without starting it battery goes low and whole lot of electronics goes out. That’s number one reason for failure. To much electronics to drown down battery quickly.
My only gripes with Volvos are: 1) Why a company that claimes safety as their #1 priority did not include backup camera in a 2014 XC60 when my 2005 Prius has backup camera and touch display for less than 3rd of the price? 2) Why changing a cabin filter is a two hour job involving 8 screws, center and so much pain ? I can do the same job in any Toyota and Honda in 5 minutes. It appears that few things in Volvos are after thoughts!!
Hello Guys, I got this BMW X5 2012 xdriv35i E70 last year and I am trying to keep it for long term. I have been dealing with a code : 28A0 ( Air Mss System, plausibility: Calculated air masses in the air intake system not plausible) for long time. This is was has been done to the car related or not to the issue: Order: RELATED: DMLT VALVE replaced Purge valve replaced charge pipe replaced with FTP Valve cover and other parts replaced. OEM TMAP/MAP Sensor replaced (intake and charge pipe) MAF sensor cleaned and new gasket installed Superjet pump vacuum hose replaced Air filter box gasket replaced. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ NOT RELATED: Current Miles: 110.000 Oil filter and gaskets MANN, Oil 5w30 Liquid Moly , air filter MANN , drain plug and gasket - changed every 5k miles. PREMIUM 93-94 octane fuel (Delta, Shell, Sunoco) Brakes pads , rotors and sensor Parking brake actuator Spark Plugs and Coils Oil filter housing gasket and mickey mouse replaced, coolant flush Transfer case fluid changed Differentials fluid changed. Transmission fluid and filter changed. Heater control valve radiator cap steering wheel cap L/R Mirror glasses Right interior temperature sensor HVAC AUC Sensor Exterior and Interior HVAC Filters Parts supplier: FCP EURO (OE/OEM) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have been doing some smoke tests and this is what I found and Fixed. Charge pipe leaking: FIXED Maf sensor leaking: FIXED Map Sensor leaking: FIXED Superjet pump vacuum line leaking: FIXED Air box filter gasket leaking: FIXED Valve cover gasket leaking: FIXED Map Sensor leaking: FIXED besides that I can't find more vacuum leaks with my smoke teste, I don't see any smoke coming out anywhere. What else can I do ? Something also weird is that the EVAP Monitor never gets done. Car runs perfect , no issues , no bad idle, not knocking (just some times you can feel a small misfire but the RPM does not go crazy. The light and code triggers when the car is being drive at constantly low RPM (1000rpm-1500rpm) and around speed of 25-35mph. If avoid those situation I won't get the light but I will get the code sometimes as pending. I am tired of this code ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some Live data: Short trim fuel are usually at 0% Long term fuel are usually at -2,3% Short trim sensor 2 is usually at 99.2% O2 b1s1 is usually at : 1.4 - 1.5 O2 b1s2 is usually at : 0.7 Intake manifold pressure after throttle valve: 13.93 psi Intake pipe vacuum before throttle valve (charging pressure - setpoint value) : 14.65 psi Intake pipe vacuum before throttle valve: 14.63 psi Charge air temperature: 115.7 F ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please let me know what else can I do to diagnostic and fix this code, It is the only code that the car has. Are the RR Racing bushings better than OEM? Or does it not matter? I want better handling on my Lexus GS350 AWD and was looking at their Coilovers, lower, and upper controls arms.

Used the above guide this weekend to repair my Secondary Air Pump on my 2007 Merc CLK280. Excellent video , followed it to the letter and now my pump is erviceabla again and my P0410 code has gone.Many thanks for putting this video out there
I've been a Volvo owner for many years, it should be right with has an explanation about Volvo's small faults, mostly I've had problems with the BVC valve it has a rubber cover that cracks over time it can be changed myself, I've had many other German and Asian cars with extreme big problems but Volvo is easily faulty and cheaper to fix no car In the world faultless, but Volvo can do better I recommend Volvo strong I myself have a xc60 d4 2013 fantastic car
