The aim of this channel is to document some of the great mountain biking trails that I am exploring in the UK right now. Your guide to all the best bits, advice on how to get there and how to get around.

About me:
I'm Adam, I grew up in the North West of England but have lived abroad for the last five years. I've been fortunate enough to ride bikes in some of the worlds most spectacular landscapes and most highly revered bike parks such as Whistler, BC and Queenstown, NZ. I'm not a professional rider, nor am I the best amateur downhill rider...but I love to pedal, drop, roll and jump and I'm on a mission to ride as many trail centres and untamed peaks as possible in the UK whilst I'm back for now.

I'll always do my best to describe my rides, thoughts and experiences...and I hope you enjoy the videos. Most of all, I hope I can inspire you to get out on your bike, and maybe go check out a new place to ride if you like the look of what you see here!

Great video sir. Been cycling thro' here since about 1989 before any proper trails were built. Still visit 3 or 4 times a year 'cos I still love the technical stuff.

Do you think hully gully is suitable for a person that can ride red trails because I'm wondering if I should ride it
@adamjames6256
@adamjames6256 3 года назад
Hully Gully should be ok to ride at your own pace so long as you are reasonably confident. Except for the very first little drop off at the fire road where the trail starts, there are no drops, jumps or gaps. Just ride it slowly first time and scope it out, then re-ride it once you know what to expect! Have fun!

I’m hoping to take my 2020 Trek X Caliber 8 here I’ve modded it with a new 120mm fork and Michelin wild enduro tyres which are tubeless and shimano saint 4 pot brakes and 203/180mm ice tech rotors, riser bar and dropper do you think this hard tail would cope on this descent?? Also what tyre pressure did you run for the rocks

@@danlarkin2284 by sweet jumps are you referring to the techy suicide paralyser at the bottom of Snowdowns left junction? I wouldn’t want to be hitting THAT on hardtail, I’ll tell you that for free Dan. Luckily the Nimbus floats over it quicker than you can say Leviosarrr!

If you are down this way again, you must try Hopton and Bringewood they are ace, not uplifts all the time but if you look on Pearce cycles events page they post uplift dates, but still fun without the uplift 👍

My favourite trail centre, as it's very 'natural' and not too man-made like some others, which are more like glorified bmx tracks.
@RocketMagnetUK
@RocketMagnetUK 5 лет назад
Most of the trail is the old red graded Red Bull. It's a really interesting trail as you can see the old school philosophy of trail building which was essentially why waste time/effort & money on uphill singletrack. The aim was to make it as easy as possible physically to gain altitude which is why it's all fire road climbs mainly and try and make descents as "natural" as possible (rough wrt hardtail 100mm travel bikes). IIRC when you do the slabs you miss out the Heart of Darkness or maybe that section is closed now? Linking this route to something like the MBR adds a great deal of variety IMO and hopefully they don't go modernising any of the classic sections too much.
