I agree with everything you have said ….. I’m looking forward to season 2! For at least the sole reason that more people could be exposed to this series & find the same joy in it as I have
For a proper DBZ dub you have to watch Kai. Anything dubbed before Kai wasn't objectively good. Back then we were basically Japanphobic when it came to language & music which is why DBZ had an instrumental opening. The same applied to the Budokai games for a while. We either get a cover of the song or just the instrumental or an entirely different instrumental hence stuff like "Rock The Dragon". Another example was Naruto's English opening which is just guitar rifts.

Most manga I read are ecchi so my top ten list would stacked with stacked girls. I also read good manga like berserk or frieren but that after I watched the anime
Lately, Kinnikuman has been gunning to take the #1 spot for me. Since the anime got announced I've been thinking about Kinnikuman nonstop. I even had 3 separate dreams that I was watching the anime before it premiered. One Piece is something that took part of my life away like Big Mom. It's been with me since 2004. When I first caught up to the manga was during Marineford so there was something good every week till things got slow for me with the time skip. So I'd be on and off One Piece for the next decade or so. Nowadays, I'm caught up again & waiting for more episodes of the anime to come out. When it comes to Dragon Ball, I originally didn't care for it. I was probably younger than 10 years old. At the time, DBZ was on Spanish tv but I didn't pay much attention to it. Somehow I ended up watching the original DB & eventually saw it flow into DBZ. So I did somehow managed to see the anime in order & it would replay constantly on TV before the English dub even got to the end of the series. During the 2000's, Funimation was barely doing the Buu stuff while Spanish tv already aired DB, Z & GT multiple times by then. I first read the manga for DB during high school & I was surprised how fast it was. As I kept trying other manga the more I noticed that the manga pacing tend to be way faster than their anime adaptations.

@@Yabuki_right Hmm Joe is definitely one of a kind but the closet anime that has a similar feel is Rainbow the seven from block 2. Also a gritty delinquent story with boxing. The anime doesn’t have a complete story but still works well as an ending. Haven’t checked out the manga for it yet but heard it continues good too.

Music is so important to this franchise that there are, what, 19 different soundtracks (counting things like _Madoka's Piano File_ and that one that was a pretend radio broadcast with in-character segments between the songs)?
Black Lagoon's delay with dubbing Roberta's Blood Trail was due to Geneon going out of business. Funimation rescued the series along with various others like Hellsing Ultimate & dubbed the rest. So currently there's a Blu-ray for Black Lagoon & the dubbed Roberta's Blood Trail.
19:11 Usually whenever I went to the theater the audience is rarely experiencing how I feel about the movie. I remember my Deadpool crowd was ignorant of the meta jokes which I found hilarious. And in family oriented movies, I tend not to laugh when everyone else does. Usually because I'm seeing the subtext of the scene & I'm not distracted by the petty joke. I want to say I had one really good audience experience but I don't remember what movie it was.
Main question, why is it only men and boys that become ultraman! Unless girls and women become kaiju instead, which is just as cool but also cruel I say this as a queer person btw

In The Terminator they just wanted to kill Sarah to get rid of Connor After that movie Skynet gets conceived earlier & more powerful, bc of the Terminator's arm Perhaps Skynet fears sending a Terminator back even earlier, bc they wanna perserve themself how they are They could become even more powerful, but that is still a gamble & their current self wouldn't exist Skynet in T2 isn't the same Skynet as in T1 & they know it They only exist, bc of their previous version, but they don't know what happened to T1's Skynet so they wanna minimize the risk of hindering their own existence
