I live in Wyoming where I hunt, fish and really enjoy the outdoors. I think hunting is second nature for Wyomingites, so I hope to take you along on some of my adventures. My wife and I travel a lot and spend a lot of time at our vacation home in Seal Rock, Oregon. Here we spend a lot of time ocean fishing and sight seeing. As a former professional bass fisherman I will hope to enlighten viewers with my experience on the water whether its in fresh or saltwater.
The species is black rockfish. Black sea bass live in the Atlantic basin. Giant sea bass live in California. Some people in Oregon call them black sea bass because they look like a freshwater bass....but they are a species of rockfish, similar to the many other rockfish species in the North Pacific. Very tasty, too
Looks great. See through is fun. You're right. Each blind has some nuances to setting them up. It takes a few times to get the hang of it. I like your no BS and to the point review. That view is amazing.
Yesterday we had very minimal seaweed on the pots. We started at high slack and crabbed the outgoing tide. It was only a 4’ drop though. That’s probably why there wasn’t much weed.
Hey Steve use the motor and back up to stay over top of your line. Turn the boat around and bump it forward to keep your line from drifting to far forward 👍✌🤞 Best Fishes N Happy Trails Nice Fish!!!
Yeah I understand! When it starts dragging the bottom they end up stealing your bait and you miss the bite. I spent eight years 7 days a week on the charter boats out of Westport Washington. Lots of good memories
Boy do I miss all of the fresh fish! I'm now in Cheyenne Wyoming. On oxygen thanks covid. Look me up on your way back through! Woohoo fish on! Best Fishes and Happy Trails👍✌🤞🙏😎
