hey nice video...may i make some suggestions to make you channel better?... First star by uploading total war news and commentary on your walkthroughs tha may get you more views good luck
Dont keep the cav in the rear, you had better and heavier cav that could kill with ease the enemy cav, not only because the enemy cav was light but also because they werent skirmishers, so they couldnt hit and then outrun your cav. And since you had heavy reformed cav, and were fighting mercs ,(which have a morale debuff), that did not have spears, you couldve used your superior cav to smash into the flanks of the sword infantry or the enemy missile units to cut off fire support right at the start of the battle, both options would result in lower enemy morale and routing amongst their ranks and minimal casualties on your side, the attack could also be supported by a push from your infantry on the left and right flanks whilst the center held back the enemy meele units. Love the vids please keep it up
Actually I am playing on Extreme Graphic Setting, i will see if i can Enhance video quality, because once i upload to you tube quality of the videos become bad.
Man Praetorian guard against eastern spearmen is one hell of an unfair match, one has 70 melee attack and the other has like 10 i think, like those spearmen are dirt cheap and actual trash, it was a hard battle to loose. Great vids keep up the series pls
My friend that army was very well composed, but those two of Vigiles units are actual hot garbage in open field . They have good weapon damage since they are reform units, but god awfull melee attack and a very shit even worse charge bonus. They also have low morale and poor armour, but they do have mediocre health. All said, they are really only usefull in defensive urban/siege battles, since they can form the square formation which helps to counter cav charges down streets, and a 20 damage bonus against cav and elephants, so they are only worth using on the defensive in very specific ocation. The most use i get out of them in the campaigns, is garrispn duty, to keep order as they are trash in battle and always end up with high casualties when put into actual combat with other melee units. If you need native roman spear units in your army you should use either spear gladiatrices which are more expensive but have better stats in all categories excluding charge bonus (They have higher morale, higher melee attack, better melee defence and armour, equal bonus versus cav, and higher weapon damage), and they also have better abilities which make them faster on the field. Or you could use Auxilia infantry, i like them very much as if you plays as house Cornelia, the upkeep for these units can go down into the single digits, and in comparison with the Vigiles, they have slightly better stats, 18 melee attack, 25 weapon damage, equal bonus versus cav, slightly better charge, higher melee defence, way better armour and better health. Thus they are as cheap as vigiles but not as trash because due to their hight armour they end up taking way less casualties in battles from both melee combat and missile damage, whilst the higher attack makes it so that they can inflict more casualties. Still none of this units should be used as offensive or assault units in a regular field battle, rather they should be used to hold lines and counter cav. Great video man and keep up the series pls. Forgot to say but do not use explosive rounds on the balistas, they are way less acurate and do not roll so they inflict less casualties.
I got the game refunded. This cartoonish looking game is absolutely awful. You're better of playing Knights of Sovereign 2 or Total War Attila (medieval mods) or ck3 or Mount and Blade Warband 1257AD enhanced, or Mount and Blade Bannerlord..etc There's MANY other alternatives than this childish nonsense.
