Question, if I may please? I have 2 452's, both are varmint models, one in .22LR and one in .17HMR. I also have 2 455 's, the .22LR is the Evolution model (varmint barrel) and the .17HMR is varmint thumbhole. The question being - the mags for the .22's (452/455) are interchange but the mags for the .17's (452/455) aren't (they don't look the same, either), do you know why this is? How could I know which one to order? I went to a gun store and the mags they had said (on the package) they fit both the 452/455, however they looked like the old style mags for my old 452, not the newer 455?? I ask because I just bought the 455 .17HMR and it only comes with the one magazine (factory 5 rounder) and I would like at least one more mag. Many thanks for any info you can provide. Cheers...
I’m not used to seeing a Czechmate having to run 10 rounds per mag and having to reload so often. I’m fortunate to live in a non-restricted magazine state.
Why did you have to reload so much? It seemed like you should have been able to clear the whole first stage with just the big stick mag and one reload.
I thought the Parrot included a green magazine well, but yours is orange. Did you change that, or did yours come with the orange one? I just bought a base model Czechmate yesterday. They got a used one at my favorite local gun shop. I bought my TS2 there almost a year ago, and I love that thing so far. I'm going to get some more recoil springs to use light factory target ammo with the comp, for Steel Challenge matches. I might try using the front sight block instead; I'm not sure yet. Hopefully I'll be able to load my own 9mm major ammo for USPSA Open division major power!
If your purple charging handle is on the left side, yes. Remove the 2 screws on the thumbrest, so that you can remove 3 screws from your blue optic mount. If the purple charging handle is on the right side, like it is in this video, then removing the thumbrest and blue optic mount is unnecessary.
Why would you have the rear sight on the slide, if you have the red dot sight mounted to the frame? Just use the charging handle and face it to the right, and hook your finger around it to rack the slide. You can leave it on when you strip the slide, just like the other comment says.
I'm not sure if anyone sells those by themselves. It's really hard to find some parts like that. I've been wanting a paddle mag release for my TS2, like the one included with the racing green version or the bronze version in other countries, or the new TS2 Orange or the old TSO, but I can't find them for sale anywhere. I think each compensator is fitted to the slide, though. I don't think you could buy a whole Czechmate slide by itself either, but I'm not sure.
Hello there, I’m a reporter with CTV News in Victoria BC. I am doing a story on the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) BC Qualifier Matches. I was curious if it would be ok to use this video in my story?
Thanks for this video, it was very helpful. My brand new parrot didn't want to run my Minor loads. Watching your example, I quickly disassembled and replaced the recoil spring with a lighter one, (included in the hardcase from the factory, super cool on CZ by the way). Runs very good now.
