hey! I just replaced the top shell of this laptop and now the display wont power on when pressing the power button.. I get lights and fan like normal but no display.. I've taken it back apart, checked everything.. Reset bios by removing both batteries and unplugging it from power, I've checked everything I can think of but I got no picture, its like its not even trying to power on the screen at all.. anyone have any ideas lol?
You could literally just make stronger, biodegradable or edible plastics, and fill it with oxygen and put them under water for the Dead zones in the ocean!
Gay and lesbian people are entitled to the same human rights as all other Americans. Marriage is not even sacred anymore because a majority of married people cheat on each other, or quickly divorce each other. If two men or two women decide to marry one another what does that have to do with you? They are the ones paying for the license, rental of the marriage venue, food, refreshments and open bar -- not you! what business is it of yours? Keep your personal and religious beliefs to yourself! Stop imposing your bigoted values on other people!
Pin 12 ground audio, pin 13 right and pin 14 is left. The 19 and 20 pin with the used resistor I'm still confused. The sounddock has voltage on 3.3 approx but connecting that to pin 19 doesn't work the same way as pin 20.
I am against straight /heterosexual marriage. My parents' marriage was a travesty and ended up in acrimonous divorce. I think they should be banned from permanent umions too.
refreshing minds and viewpoints! I like how both generations were mostly in support of gay marriage! It dosen't affect heteros or takes away their rights so what the problem? Marriage has been and still is a civil institution.
There are two versions of sound dock 1: the oldest (as mine) has on pins 20/21 +17.5Vdc (connector J201 with 30pins). In order to make the sound dock sounds, you need to make a voltage divider with two resistors: one of 10K and another of 4,7K. Connect one to another and the 10K to 20 or 21 and the 4,7k to 23 to 24. The joint point of both you connect to pin 19. 20/21 o------ R10K ------o------- R4K7 -------o 23/24 | | pin 19 If you have the version 2 - check for +5Vdc to pins 20 or 21 - the connection is easier: just a >470ohm resistor from pin 20 or 21 to pin 19. The audio connections are the same to both models. But now the piece of cake! Don`t connect using wires, use BlueTooth!! Made it today to version 1! There is a vey cheap BluetTooth adapter for bose 1 version 2. So, it works with 5Vdc, not the 17.5Vdc of original Bose. It takes +5Vdc from pin 8 (Ipod connector) and, in version 1, there`s nothing connected to such pin. You`ll need one voltage regulator LM7805, as we are going to transform 17.5V into 5V (I only had the hole throw version of it, but it exists on smd version, much smaller than mine). Also, you will need a 470ohm resistor and a small piece of wire (3cm). The regulator has three legs, from the left to right: input, ground and output - what a pit! If it had switched the ground and input, it would be great, but we will fix this very easily! Take it and fold the output leg to the right side of component, keeping the same plane: +------------+ | o | +------------+ | lm7805 | | | | +-------------+ | <==== fold the output leg to right | | | | | | +--+ | | | | Take the input leg and fold it down. So, cut the leg at the height of component (it will just touch the board); +------------+ | o | +------------+ | lm7805 | | | | +-------------+ | | | | | o | +--+ | | Take the ground leg and fold it to left, but passing away from input leg. After passing the input leg, fold it down, cutting it at the component heigth. It will also just touch the board. +------------+ | o | +------------+ | lm7805 | | | | +-------------+ | | | | | o | +---+ o-----------+ Now, let`s put the component on board: after dismantling and pulling out the board, you will have the ipod connector (very thinny legs) in front of you and the J201 connector (the other with larger legs) behind the ipod connector. You will take the voltage regulator and turn it clockwise, so the its legs will face the J201 connector. If you have bounded its legs as I told, the input and ground ones will sit on pins 20/21 and the ground on 23/24. Solder both to board. 24 +---------------o +---------+ | o 21 | | | | | +--------------+ | | | | | | | +--------------+ | 0 | +--------------+ The output, which was folded to the right, is now at the left of regulator, pointing to board front. So, solder to it the wire and the other side to pin 8 of IPod connector. This is the most difficult part. You won`t have problens if solder gets on adjacent pins, as the bluetooth adapter has only connection for pin 8, but try to make your best do not make a mess on such small connctor`s pins. 24 +---------------o +---------+ | o 21 | | | | | +--------------+ | | | | | | | +--------------+ ! | 0 | ! +--------------+ ! ! to pin 8 of IPod connector (be carefull when soldering) Best wishes!
Amazing, do you know if i can trick the mainboard that the ipod is connected? because i want to remove the ipod dock and print a 3d model to remove the ipod dock, i have the first bose sounddock model the one that outputs 17.5v, thanks in advance and excuse my english
@@himla2631 Hi, probably yes, as the dock is just a connector. But you will need to track down where those pins used in my adaptation go into main board...
5:32: so in order to retain existing functionality while enabling the unit for external audio, one might consider a little switch for that 2 ohm resistor. Cool!
Bought an "8 Pin male 3.5mm to 30 Pin female Audio Adapter Cable For iPhone 6 6s plus 5 5S" for less than $7 on Ebay. Added a 2.2k ohm 1/2 watt resistor between pins 19 and 20. Works fine on my 1st gen BoseSound Dock that I purchased for $25 at Goodwill!!!
Hi I have a type B sounddock series I with faulty docking board. How can I hack the main board for aux input. I mean can I use this without that docking board? Unit power on with beep sound without the docking board. But when I connect the docking board connector ribbon, its with shhhh sound

I have seen this video years ago, and only just now I installed the jack output. It works great! Somehow I mixed up the left and right sides at first... I am quite sure I connected the pin #13 to the tip of the jack which is supposed to be the left side. Anyway I just unsoldered and inverted the sides. I can't thank you enough Matt! It feels so great to beat programmed obsolescence, especially for high end stuff like this! Greetings from Brussels!
