Pretty good game, 2 things id say tho is in the first 5 minutes if u leave ur com in base id suggest putting it on low priority, especially when u move off of tick production. That way ur expanding single constructors arent slowed down even more, and u can recoup the metal cost faster. 2 u could probably benifit with leaving 1 tick here or there either on some of his potential expo spots so u know where to attack and/or placing few ticks along the avenues he could attack u from thats not under radar coverage, like the base of mountain south side or a bit past his geo tho u had very good radars already so i guess that bits really not that important here
Good video. Allthough im not as good at BAR as i think you are. And looking at some1 else play or video is a lot different, then when some1 plays self, saying i dont think i would have done better if i were playing. Looking at you play this game i should have gone vehicles at around 4 mins. At the moment you use your units to contain/occupy enemy at enemy base. It seems at that point, you dont gain as much as earlier in game with these bot units. Or maybe at 4 mins start producing the heavier bots like Maces.
Maces are too slow, the enemy army would simply slip past them. Plus he didn't have enough metal income around that time to have any significant number without exposing his flanks. When he reached 20 metal income tho yeah would be a good play
@@WholeCelery Sure, but you have to control a back-line of repair bots behind the front line units. When front line units maneuvre in combat, it cost you controling two groups. Perhapss i didnt make it clear, repair bots are fixing while frontline units shooting. Both at the same tiime.
@@WholeCelery sort of, they sometime pull back to repair, but. I have seen this, first line of combat units is healed while fighting. Basicaly repair bots are adding a regen in combat.
Really like the commentary on what units counter others. Great to hear that advice, see if i can remember it when i play next. Something I wonder about camera angles on replays, would it be good to zoom in close, bring the camera angle near ground level and really get in the thick of the action? Probably a bit fiddly to do, but I like doing this when spectating.
This game is much better than starcraft regarding strategy and needing a player to be actually capable with micro and macro. None of that closed safe bases. But one thing, this game would benefit from more intelligent maps, like we see in age of empires. Random larger obstacles that create natural choke points that can be bridged or not (like the forests in aoe that can disappear with time and force new strats)
Gotta be more aggressive, when stardom gets put into a heavy engagement you gotta use it to push in on his rear and gain ground, then immediately just turtle it while u would then push deathkorps and continue to pick up momentum, otherwise you stall out and eventually will be pushed out anyways
