yeah we didn't put the lid on yet so i can imagine there are other cleaner waters out there, but the water has no algae.. just some leaves that had fallen in! what's your method?
Oh awesome. I'll have to give that a go. I had a couple of plants years ago but that was in a dedicated bed so I never got to see how they interacted in more wild places with other competition. Thanks so much!
Look at this rabbit colony build. The wire mesh is 3 feet under the dirt. Check it out. Hopefully i will atleast have a rabbit hoise built this year. Love how u got ur kid with u. She gonna grow up real nice. I hope all the best for you guys. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZSTOE3XqQ84.htmlsi=gZ7KjD05kh5GU760

You should wear a mask grinding shell, it causes lung issues. Leave the bone char big for in compost and it becomes a biodynamic accumulator. In cool months I put our bones in the fireplace and get a mix of bone char and bone ash.
Good to see you back, I always like the fact that's gardening is all experimental. Spring has officially started in Scotland although too early to plant anything outside however I've chitted (not sure if that's spelt correctly😂)my potatoes ready for off.
oh spring is such a wonderful time of the year, so it's autunm and we are about to start this season: time for harvest and preparing wood for the fire haha. thanks for noticing we came back!
Very efficient material use. 2 foot stud spacing, no sheathing. Nice to see! Probably late, but I didn't see any diagonal wall bracing (1x4 cut in or cable).
I came across the channel yesterday and watched all your videos, I love watching DIY projects although the health and safety police in the UK would have something to say about building a cabin in your underwear😂. Looking forward to the next video👍
If any of our hens get broody, I might try what you have done by buying a few fertilized eggs to put under them. I do not keep roosters so this might work for us.

I'm in South Africa. When my predecessor bought this property in the 1970s it was a donkey paddock with kikuyu grass. She covered the entire area with hay bales to mulch it out. Didn't work, but gave the new plants a chance. i inherited it as forest: she tried to shade it out. That sort of worked, to a degree... but kikuyu can send out suckers deep underground for decades. You think it's gone, then you see it climbing up a shrub! An over-population of bantam chickens has ALMOST eradicated it - and caused huge challenges on the side - but I still find pockets. Good luck! Keep on keeping on, and when those chatterers are bringing their children to visit, you may be able to point out a rare strand of kikuyu and bore them all stiff with your stories about the kikuyu wars....
we mainly use silage tarp to kill our kikuyu and make the area 3 times bigger then what we are gardening because this stuff loves to crawl also when its dead would use cardboard then woodchip in walkways to help fight it but whatever you do you will eventually still be always fighting kikuyu it always finds a way lol
I used to live in Australia and gave dress making classes. I remember one lady came with a sewing machine where kikuyu grass grew through the machine because she had stored it in the shed. It took me some time to make the machine functional. Horrible stuff.
I like your utilization of sheep, chickens etc. Might as well take advantage of the invasive nature to turn it into a blessing. I see you are also topping some of the brush and trees as added animal feed.
I call this grass, the devil's own wicked revenge, I don't like to hate anything, but Kykuiu is my worst nightmare, O have tried carpet, at present I'm experimenting with grass clippings in about 30cm high to completely cover that area, similar to what u did under the Mulberry tree. I wipper snip in the garden regularly and if the clippings work I'll start mowing more often to irradiate this awful grass. I live in NSW Australia close to Qld border. Great video, know how u feel.
thank you Leigh! Yes, it is hard to grow food with that grass around but we have been seeing improvements with our consistency haha... let me know if the clippings work! Juliana
pigs are great for improving land , let them rut in a confined area long enough and they will kill all vegatation and allow you to plant the seeds of grass or other things that you are trying to grow in that space.
oh I am very interested in pigs so thank you for the inspiration and reminder, and new info on the benefits the land could get from them being here! Juliana
Sorry, but the roof tar paper goes on the opposite of the slant of the roof, so that the paper over laps and continues to go down the slope of the roof. Also the wrapping protective paper, goes on after sheeting on the outside walls
Thankyou for making this video. The topic has been an interest of mine for some time and my hope is that you will share tips and techniques that I can learn from.
@@earth-whisper-homestead Precisely 🙏 Last week we had a tornado up the street from us and we live in California 🤯 The weather is getting strange.. Well thank you very much for the reply 😀 Much appreciated
