Seems vastly over-rated. The servings are SOOOOOOOOOOO TINY. The physical plates (except for the black-rimmed one for the wagu) look so PLAIN & BORING. I would probably send half the dishes back! 😛 Can they also actually do my laundry if I dine there -- or is there an actual Chinese restaurant/laundry across the street? LOL!! Seems like a REAL RIP-oFF!!
Ok, I'll ask... How much does this set one back to experience this sensory overload? If I remember correctly, it's around $1,000 to enjoy the _Tasting Menu_ at T. Keller's _French Laundry_ not including your beveverages/wines.
I'm so glad I've never eaten at this establishment, I would feel cheated and hungry after this "experience". I once at a Rules in London which served miniature portions and charges a fortune - never again. Blumenthal just isn't my cup of darjeeling
Not really a foodie, but just curious. If you were driving down the highway (let's say you are on your annual vacation) and just wanted a good meal because you were hungry, would the French Laundry be able to satisfy you or would the cost be prohibitive? Of course, I suppose the question is irrelevant since you wouldn't have a reservation.
@@wholesalebulklots Valid point, but the question is could you get a decent meal if you were not a "foodie." Of course, you could not afford it anyway.
