This is the start of my RU-vid journey where I learn all about video editing, audio, and everything in between. I'm a landscape and wedding photographer from Torquay, Victoria and looking to take the family on a big lap of Australia for the entirety of 2023. This channel is about the build up to that trip, learning about video creation and content, and then ultimately the trip itself. How it evolves in between then is anyone's guess, but help me out in the comments with what you'd like to see.

Tennis Elbow should be renamed Photographers Elbow. It’s due to photographers bending their arms all the time bringing the viewfinder up to their eye. I struggled with it for 18 months 😖
If you google Blue Heeler Hotel floods you’ll see it’s currently in a bad way unfortunately. Hopefully they can drum up support to keep it running long into the future
Hey Ash, we stayed At Oondooroo Station back as part of our outback Qld trip in 2020. Loved the place! I don’t know if you know - inside the homestead is where Banjo Paterson actually put music to the words of Waltzing Matilda. Also, the locals pronounce The name as “On-da-roo. Just thought I’d mention it as you seemed unsure about its pronunciation.
Glad you’re liking them! I feel they’ll get better when we get away from the eastern coastline, we find our rhythm a bit better! I’m just slack getting the episodes edited!!

Totally agree on the commercial aspect of the Mossman Gorge tour. We were there in December 2020 (before the wet) and while it was all lovely and the bus shuttle and boardwalks are comfortable and convenient, it is overpriced. Good video and excellent photography tips!
I live around Mossman, Douglas, Daintree. If it's water, assume that there is a croc in it until proven otherwise. To check the water, play fetch with your dog. If you haven't got a dog, tell a tourist it's safe to swim. All the swimming holes have just been re-landscaped.... Something about 2 Metres of rain in four days when Jasper visited. Newell, at the mouth of the Mossman River looks nothing like this anymore, there's a new Island in the mouth and Cooya beach has a rainforest laying around in the intertidal zone.... The cyclone and record rainfall that followed has changed the landscape in big ways
Usually you don’t have to tell the tourists it’s safe, they just get in anyway yeah? I can’t imagine what you’ve gone through over the past week with the deluge, and can’t imagine things will be back to normal for a while. I wish you well with any recovery
Great Video. The track is pretty tame other than the steep bits. When we got to the Pub, it had no power, so no lunch for us. We stayed the night at Cooktown. Long trip back on the bitumen!
