I have recently arranged xam 5600. It only shows 4 gasses (ch4, co2, h2s, o2) but doesn’t other 2 gases. I desperately need to measure NO2 in a process. Can i use this? Kindly help.
Did you install the NO2 sensor or did it come configured this way? For any configuration change, the sensor added to the meter will need to be activated with the CC Vision software first.
is there a way to modify the unit id? your id is 1-4E23 .. 1 is for the remote but the id of 4E23 I would ike to change to represent the unit number of the RAE. I haven't been able to find a way.
I don't believe the meter unit ID can be changed. This is a bit of an older article, but it likely still applies: sps-support.honeywell.com/s/article/How-to-change-the-Unit-ID-of-RAE-portables
is it ok if I use the recycling tool directly? I have a MSA tool that "has special ports that allow the safe drainage of any residual gases that may be present in the cylinder"
There is a bit of a port for safety reasons, but we can only recommend following the manufacturer's instructions. On the ones we carry, they recommend draining the cylinder first.
With the XT II LEL correction factors can set up with the HW Device Configurator software. When doing a manual bump test, you'd need to figure in that correction factor. Some meters have a bump test mode and selectable LEL gas correction factor libraries that make this simpler. The XT II is a bit more basic in this regard. If you need more info or want to speak with someone about this, feel free to give our service team a call at 888-972-3389.
Apologies for missing this earlier. The ChemPro100i is discontinued. Its replacement, the ChemProX, is more typical for law enforcement/hazmat response.
I’m wondering, does the Draeger X-am 8000 continue to measure even if you’re not in the Monitoring screen? For example, if you’re going through the menus while CO2 is rising. Would the A1 or A2 alarms get triggered then?
You know your stuff. Do you have any content on MultiRAE Pro diagnostics mode? I’d like to understand that a little bit better and I don’t have a Gamma sensor, but I’d like to know how to diagnose that too.
We don't currently have any content that deals specifically with diagnostics mode. There is some info about it in the manual, but we also cover it and other in-depth topics in our authorized RAE Technician training: www.allsafeindustries.com/rae-certified-technician-training.aspx.
Practically speaking, the quality of the calibration will be similar. On its own, the AutoRAE cradle is easier for most people to use, it tests the visual and audible alarms, and potentially conserves cal gas. Adding controller allows for bump tests and calibrations to be logged automatically, among some other more advanced functions.
The charcoal filter over the CO sensor? Those get fit into the sensor plate above the CO sensor. The newer filters require two filters, the older style were a single layer.
I have that minor issue with safety suite where all devices dropping off many times a day and when the reboot doesn't work I stop and start the Gateway from the Utility. Other than that its straightforward. I can't wait for the future videos ;)
Alarm settings can be set in the menus. See 14:40 on how to access the menus. If you have the IR dongle for these, you can set the alarms via RKI's free software.
If I'm understanding the question correctly, those cylinders are likely different from the ones we deal with for calibration gas cylinders. I'm not sure of the answer.
@@Allsafeindustries I have a Philips calibration gas cylinder. What is the connection thread of this cylinder? I'm looking for a connector and possibly a reducer. Best regards
@@boblockhit4348 I'd recommend taking a quick pic of the cylinder threads and sending it to tech@allsafeindustries.com. That will probably be the quickest way to get you the right answer.
good video my estimate, my query is, I have a 415 that I cannot calibrate, the HC reaches 38% LEL and fails. what can i do ?? I would appreciate your comments. I AM using for calibration 50%lel gas
The Chempro100i has an irritant library (4.3.X) with 9 different irritants including pepper spray and mace. For more info, you may check out an older ChemPro100i manual here: www.environics.fi/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/tn-008chempro100i-libraries-v8m-grey-v16d-2014-02-11.pdf. The irritant library is on page 8. This library has been expanded in newer versions, but this will give you an idea of the instruments capabilities.
Yes that configuration would be fine. If fact, you can add 2 more sensors to that configuration. I would suggest heading over to this link to configure an AreaRAE Plus: www.allsafeindustries.com/arearae-plus-pro-questionnaire Thanks!
