This video convinced me to play this game, thank you! BTW. According to the information on the game forum on BGG - wilds can only be used as additional dice to other results thrownIt means that if you throw dice: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5 - you can't use 1 as a 4 or as a 6. You can add them to 2, 3 or 5 as additional dice.
I like that blue rim near the buttons! Thanks for detailing the table. Impressed esp given it's on lower end. Sucks about the dragons especially for Riichi.

I purchased an auto mahjong table a year ago from Amazon. It came from a company called Mahjong USA. I paid about $1,200 for it with free shipping. (Thank goodness for free shipping) My tiles are the same as yours, except that I have numbers in the upper left hand corner of the character or "crack" tiles for easier identification for first time players. The table also came with a nice hard table top cover that fits nicely into the table frame. The table came with 4 very nice rosewood tile racks with pushout bars. We also got about 30 extra tiles for the different versions of mahjong. Overall I would say we got a great deal. This was a very nice video.
I know this video is two years old, but I wanted to say thank you! Very informative and well done! Some wonderful options! Hope you continue to make more videos.
Great video. love the content. Is there not going to be a solitaire print and play contest on BGG for 2024? I cant find anything about it in the forums. Thought you might know.
Could anyone tell me the name of the author of the game? I am doing a Redesign with the Theme Dengue (Disease caused by the Aedes aegypti Mosquito) and I intend to put the Game on for Students from suburban schools here in my City: Campinas - São Paulo - Brazil. I would like to put the credits on the Marking Sheet. The only information I have is that it was created by "Matt". If anyone knows, please let me know and, whoever wants this redesign, I will send it to everyone, including the Author of THE LAST JARL, as we consider the Game to be very good! I would like to warn the Author about this redesign! (Google translator - Portuguese to English)
Stumbling onto this 3 years later, but I love it. I've been designing games lately with the standard deck constraint, and I hadn't heard of most of these. Thanks!
I don't have a computer to print these games. I have to do the best I can watching your videos to hand copy the games. It's hard to do on some games but fun.
Hello. Sorry to bother again. Regarding 11:09, when the 0 hand should draw a 10, is it only allowed to draw and try for another 10 and so forth if all have folded? Or, theoretically, may one open the hand with others in it by having the zero and drawing an initial ten, and then not drawing a ten afterwards, so that it is like the player may use either the drawn ten or the other drawn card to pair with either card in the original hand to make the best yaku?
That is, could the player only try like this: All have folded, they had 7 + 3 (draw 10, then they may go ahead to draw until a possible arashi), Or, Can they, say they be the first to open the hand, the dealer, have 7+3, could they (draw 10, then go ahead and try for another 10 and so forth), and if they could (draw 10 and proceed to draw, should they not draw the 10 again, say only a 4, just proceed to use that four to make a 7 with the 3 in the original yaku?)
Lastly, very sorry, if the latter were granted, that the initial 7 + 3 could draw a 10 and then a 4; let us say instead that they drew a 10 and a 9 afterwards - could they form a yaku with the two drawn cards (10 + 9 = 9), or would they have to apply these to the originally dealt cards?
If you have a 7-3 you can show it and draw another card at any time. You don't show the new card. If the new card is a 10, you can show it to draw another card. Now your opponents know the first 3 cards but not the 4th. At the end you can use any 2 cards to form the best combo. So with 7, 3, 10, 9 you would have 9. With 7, 3, 10, 4 you would have 7. So again, you can use any 2 cards out of 4 to make the best hand, and you can show 0 at any time, even at the beginning to draw the new card(s). But if you draw two 10s, you would wait until the end to try for another 10 and extra tips.
Quick question though, was it an error at 25:46 that the June (6) and February (2) were not removed to make 8, and so leave the October, September, and January (10 + 9 + 1) to make 20, or was there a reason that this pairing could not be made?
@@VeselkoKelava Thank you for replying so quickly. Sorry to bother, but I was just watching this video of some Japanese playing kachi-kachi (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lSwxVxvaxyI.htmlfeature=shared), and in their version they only flipped up to reveal only one card when they formed a ten via plain addition before drawing. Is there any advantage to this, or is it just a matter of style?
Sorry, not sure if my third comment disappeared because it had a link (the original link is to the wrong video). In any case, the fellow drew a 7 + 3, but instead of flipping both only revealed the 3.
Thanks! I sorta pkayed slobg with you, which means I may or may not have krpt track of my time track days, but I definitely got a great feel for the game! Thanks for the great pkay through!
