After a diagnosis of MS landed on my lap, this channel became a way to leave a legacy
while I'm still mobile and able to communicate clearly.
I'm not in this for fame or money, but I do share in the revenue youtube makes from my content.
My original plan was to leave a legacy for both my daughters - for a future time where I'm no longer able to communicate these things to them.
Sometimes a complicated past gets in the way of the present, so one can only plan for the future.

also , you cant get radium spectrum from uranium glass as most of the uranium glass on the market is made of refined uranium : meaning that during the process of making uranium diuranate ( the uranium oxyde that is used to dye the glass) there is a by product that is not used and this byproduct contains radium and others metals. In my collection ( more than 100 pieces!) only 2 are made with non refined uranium and shows all the peaks of uranium ore gamma spectrum (Ra 226 included)...and the kind of object that you showed is far too "modern" to be made of non refined uranium.

What are the benefits of double clutching? Someone that knows educate me. I showed myself how to drive stick, but never double clutched.
@TheAussieRepairGuy
@TheAussieRepairGuy 7 дней назад
Firstly, this is a how-to, not a you-should video. this is a 5 ton 6x6 military vehicle with 4 speeds, and a heavy flywheel, and small synchros. double clutching basically helps synchronize input and output so that it shifts more smoothly and faster. in a lumbering old thing like this, it helps you get round town faster, or get it into a lower gear for downhill descents.

That is a ridiculously low powered oven, but I guess if it is insulated adequately, it would work just fine. Normal toaster ovens are just metal boxes with no real insulation and a power hungry 1500watt heating coil.
@TheAussieRepairGuy
@TheAussieRepairGuy 8 дней назад
Yeah 1500 watts at 24v is some serious amps. Normal toaster ovens are not insulated and are extremely wasteful, because you can afford to be on mains. This works much better with an insulated door kit In this case however - running a normal toaster oven in a vehicle, while moving, really isn't a cheap or sensible idea. Having a hot meal when you pull up however is absolute magic.

there is now a 5 port unit available designed to specifically do what I want, but I have since used the pi5 for the media center in my 6x6 ambulance, and solved the bottleneck on the pi4 server, so I'm getting roughly 100mb/sec write to the drives. I can't really ask much more than that on SMR drives. Next attempt I'm probably going to just bite the bullet and get a CM4 module and interface board and use a "normal" sata card.
