Watch us for kid friendly RV destinations, activities, and RV lifestyle tips!
We are an ordinary family of 6 who happen to love to offroad, hike, bike, kayak and paddle board. We live a nomadic lifestyle in order to do the things we love, and to do them in new places. We believe that there are great destinations all across Americare meant to be experienced. And we don't want to wait for retirement to experience them, and we don't want our kids to be bored in a classroom or shuffled off to as many sports as possible. This is life on our terms!
We share our experiences with everyone in hopes that for some, it will be entertaining, for others educational, and for a few, inspirational. So, tag along and check out the many adventures and destinations we experience along the way and maybe grab some helpful tips, RV life hacks, and insights into "how we..." live this amazing life!
Nice video sir! We have flat towed our Suzuki Samurai for years to south Padre Island. We upgraded our RV to a 2022 Thor Four Winds with the Ford E450 chassis. So we upgraded to a 2015 Jeep Wrangler! We want to copy your setup! What front bumper did you use? I have found one under $300 but it's only 7/32" thick steel! Thanks in advance Ken T. Whiskey Taw Falls Texas :)
Thank you for the helpful video. What year is your Wrangler? I'm curious because I recently bought a 2013 2 door Rubicon to tow behind my motorhome, and I'm trying to decide on my braking system. My Rubicon has vacuum assist brakes that require a lot of pressure without the vacuum generated by the engine. I'm not sure the Ready Brute surge brake system can apply enough pressure? We are up and down mountain passes on a regular basis and the motorhome is a gasser with no engine brake, so good brakes on the toad are critical.
It's a 2023. The surge brake is stronger than you think. We just spent the past few weeks coming up through the Appalachians without any issues. We are in the same boat, gasser with no engine brake, but everything worked as it was supposed to!
@nomadicsavages I don't blame you. Although....you may want to return in thw winter just to see Christmas on the Pecos. They have a boat ride down the Pecos and a helicopter ride to see all the Christmas lights. Think they still have a website up. Might want to check that out.
Very informative video! I have been enjoying watching several of your videos as we have a trip planned this summer through many of the places you have visited. Keep up the cool videos and safe travels 🙏
Great to see a family trying to learn a little history. Hope you took time afterwards to talk about what they had seen. I volunteered as a tour guide at a Living History museum in Arizona. You would be surprised at the number of people who leave not knowing much more than they did when they arrived. Not because the information was not being given but because to many it was just something to do.
Tom, Glad you enjoyed the video! As homeschoolers we absolutely take advantage of these type of hands-on experiences. They are often not only great history lessons, but also great science and engineering lessons (i.e. how the catapults work) Best part is the kids have a blast while learning it all!
