Now I know another piece of Monkees trivia. Another: Stephen Stills auditioned for the Monkees, was rejected for bad teeth and thinning hair (TV show, you know), and recommended Peter Tork.

Bud Cowsill was a text book Grandiose Narcissist. Basically a Psychopath who destroyed everyone around him. So sad because the band had so much potential.

He is eloquent recollection of his biting hatred of her and his harsh criticism of the iconic Lucille Ball. He is so correct of the ability of Elizabeth Taylor's presence on screen or in person. She is captivating!!! I am huge fan of all 3 and I thought the episode was hysterical!

Very interesting video. And here's a little remembered fact. The Love American Style episode was originally titled "Love and the New TV." Only in reruns, with the success of Happy Days, was it renamed "Love and the Happy Days."

I am old enough to remember all of this. In my opinion, the show failed because slapstick comedy went out of fashion by the mid-80s. It also didn't help being schedueled on Saturday.

Gary Morton made her do it and made her pass on playing rose nyland on golden girls . She just wasn't funny anymore and the lublic was tired of her bullshwt bigotry. She never employed blacks or asian or latins in any of her sitcoms. The public was done watching another show that was all about her.

I’ve been a big fan of both for years, and I still am. But who truly deserves the title "King of Cool"? Let’s break it down. First, Dean Martin. When Sammy Davis Jr. wasn’t invited to the White House to celebrate JFK’s victory-despite all he'd done to help JFK get elected-Dean, who was invited, flatly said, “No Sammy, no Deano.” Now that’s loyalty, kids. Dean also showed real class by halting the Matt Helm movies out of respect for Sharon Tate after her tragic death. And let’s be honest, how many people could handle Jerry Lewis’s bullshit for ten straight years? Now, let’s talk about Steve McQueen. Many great movies, no doubt, but he had a reputation for being insecure and often acted like a prima donna on set, add to that some domestic issues-not exactly cool. However, he was undeniably passionate about racing. Movies like On Any Sunday and Le Mans showcase this passion. Sure, many might not have seen them, but I did, and they were undeniably cool. So, who’s the true "King of Cool"? It’s a close call, but Dean’s loyalty, class, and patience make a strong case.

I've noticed that Lucille will always insult their guests...all of them. There was laughs but to me it's very degrading people. And with the I love Lucy episodes I always thought that Vivian is the most funniest among four of them. Too bad she didn't get that proper recognition and credit. To me, truthfully, I find her the one who carried the show and truly talented and a fine opera singer. She is a multi-talented brilliant actress and just set aside. She is the reason I watch I love Lucy and The Lucy show.

Don Knotts obviously was going on Tina's looks alone. Tina was not true with Don about giving him false hope for that year. There would not be anything wrong with just saying "no". Don, I'm sure, soon got over it and moved on with his life. Perhaps they may have asked their agents whether or not a work project may have worked out between them instead?

He was very likely the stand in. Shows would have a model who resembled and was the same size as the actor stand on their on their places for an upcoming scene to allow the lighting and camera angles to be set. This allowed the actors to change costumes during breaks.
