Huge question, can I do this fix and not have to drain radiator fluid? Like just unclip and clip new one on. Top off in reservoir and Wallah? 🙌🏽please someone let me know.
Hello, you said there is heater control valve on the back of the engine? I have 2007 s550, I have replaced the water pump, thermostat, changeover valve and everything else in the cooling system and all I get is cold air in the cabin.
@@clabruno there’s a heater valve that is mounted to the back of the drivers cylinder head. And the heater valve at the firewall. Which one did you change?
@@World_Vacations no! Replace the camshaft sensors and adjuster solenoids. If there are other fault codes check there for oil ingress, IE, o2 sensor faults, look for oil there. Clean the Dme and see if that works

@@jeremysuit6957 cas module thought the vehicle was being driven. It wouldn’t enable the starter. You need to find the thick white wire that goes to the starter, terminal 50 and look for voltage when pressing the start button
HELP I just bought a Benz that has an air suspension that constantly pumps on and off for the first 20-30 minutes after running the vehicle and while driving. There are no apparent leaks, since it has gone for days without any signs of dropping, but instead it usually sits high when it sits over night and drops an inch when I press onlock on my key fob. What is the issue I'm facing? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
@@ufogtssrt9674 hey there, Remove the relay.see if the car maintains ride height. Mercedes relays are known to go bad and stick closed! Pressure sensor on the compressor that could be faulty. There’s a link in the rear of the vehicle that may be broke or stuck in an incorrect position, triggering the pump because of an incorrect value being sent to the control module.
My fuse box under the hood is on the right, passenger side, and it's labeled as Air Conditioner on the sliding lock cover. Where the drivers side is only a blank case. Could it be that's where the Air Suspension fuse is located? Plus, is there a fuse box in my trunk? It's a 2000 S430 Thanks
@@ufogtssrt9674 no the 3rd fuse box is under the rear seat passenger side. I’ve got a video that shows the location of the fuse for your car. Search -Mercedes s430 suspension issue. It help you out
I have the same vehicle and a leak coming from what looks like above the ofh but you just gave me the confidence to tackle this job myself. All the other videos I seen were on smaller engine bays but it looks like plenty of room to do it on the 5 series thanks!
lol, don't feed the trolls, I am $120 an hour in CO, and I can get it done faster than the shops since they are backed up with at least a 2-3 week wait. I have been told I should charge more.

I quit my job today I am 20 years old, I got tired of feeling like a slave even tho I was getting 40$ an hour and have gotten hired twice the owner is very annoying when days are slow also threatens to fire when you don’t wanna stay late after work??? @@Videsamuel10 gotta take the good with the bad. If you can learn something there, you may want to stick it out. I’d try a direct conversation with the owner, if he’s a tool, start looking for a better opportunity. However, you’re young, got lots to learn!
They would expect to get a discount from a doctor that makes a house call they cost more . So why do people expect that from a mobile mechanic that takes care of the life of your vehicle ?

@@eurowerx4267 Yeah "parts changer" this man can work on an 85 Mercedes to a brand new whatever. He was educated in Cuba so he got a real education. Not to mention his work ethic 50-60 hours a week you do the math. That's a hell of a living for a parts changer.
Just had a fellow mechanic change the hose in my F20, without any experience with this engine. Took him 7 hours to diagnose, remove everything on top and fix the issue. Way cheaper than an official BMW workshop, but next time I will do it myself thanks to this video. You are a true hero! Btw: My guts telling me that BMW is doing it the same way you did it but they charge customers the time it takes to rip everything apart.
No youre supposed to charge more because youre on site. Get a placard for your truck, and a few tshirts that say you. And dont give on the price. Skilled labor is that for a reason, you bothered to learn the skills. They pay.
@@sabindinca9007 $130 is good. When you add in drive time and chasing parts, it’s much less than $130, I don’t charge for those things. Overall, it’s good enough. Hope the video helped
@@jont.v5486 that’s one way to look at it! This car was pinned in by two other cars, another one broke down! Would have had to pay the tow charge! My $130 is cheaper than most shops, $140-$150 is the average here, and that’s for shops that don’t specialize. I serve the wealthiest zip code in FL, but still charge the same hourly as I did in GA. I specialize in BMW and Mercedes! Nearly 15 years dealer experience. That’s where the money is, high end cars. I don’t discount low dollar cars. My value remains the same despite the vehicle or a customers perception!
Hell of a mess for changing an altenator. I dont see a voltmeter to test if the altenator was the problem either. Next time you make a video quit bitching about it and just show you did the job. You catch flies with shit but you trap more flies with honey if you get what im saying.... 😮
