En mucho años en el pasado, I went out on “The Greatest Date Ever”. I took a very cool Mexicana to “La Liberia Martinez” in Santana. We saw & heard Lalo. A splendor in his purple Zoot suit. A great performance & a book signing afterwards. I STILl have both the signed book & a memory of seeing & hearing & meeting a VERY special human being. Gracias por todo Lalo. Also, muchísimas gracias para “La Liberia Martinez” on Main Street por the experience. Abrazos y besos. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Street tacos forever!

This is truly a priceless interview and available here. Thank you for posting and sharing these wondrous moments with Ms. Ronstadt. I love listening to her speak - utterly knowledgeable, articulate and she has a terrific sense of humour. I am heartbroken that my world has lost the greatest singing voice ever.
I still remember watching this live at UCSB my last semester of college. It was by far one of the best events I ever attended and I desperately wish Dan Guerrero sold videos of the performance. Being a Chicana I grew up listening to a lot of music by Lalo Guerrero. When I realized this was his son, I immediately told my family. I talk about it all the time and I wish my family and friends could watch it.
