Nalaa is arguably the best scaling you can do, but you kinda nailed it, not necessarily in specific lobbies, but you really need some specific circumstances to line up. Pirate APM does just fine, and Nalaa is just showing off

When going for a Nala comp or an Azerite comp, it's more important to find the spell generator than the Nala or Azerite. You don't commit until you have the tier 5 elemental that gives you spell upon damage, or Brann and tier 5 spell battlecry card, or Rylak and tier 3 naga battlecry card, or the 6 drop mech that generates spells.

So another example how do you main afkay? The champion simply is useless after round 3, and the ability is completely rng. All isn't a separate tribe, it just means it has all tribes; it's like you'd list them all (dragons, mechs, murlocs...) on the card, but it says "all" instead just to save space. Since, i.e., quilboars are unavailable in a match, the only quilboar the game can give you is a chimaera.
