Hi my name is Melissa and I Love to Garden and am an avid "Do it Yourselfer", I have done many projects over the years from tearing down walls to building a pool house and creating a home and yard that we call home. We live in Ohio, zone 6 (previously zone 5) and have lived at this home for 8 years now. When we first moved in I tried to be very frugal, buying plants on clearance and nursing them back to health. Today they are strong and beautiful! Gardening is very rewarding when you get to look back at all the before and after (or during) pictures.....and to dream and plan for the future.

In summer do you have to cover them to protect them from extreme heat and harsh sun? I had one of these, it was doing great in the pot then i was told to plant it in the ground and it died in the ground. I believe the 2021 summer killed it when we had 3 straight weeks of over 100 degree days consecutively.

Best to power wash first, before applying that product.

The finished product looks great! You mentioned power washing the porch. Power washing used hot water whereas pressure washing uses non/heated water. Everyone uses the terms interchangeably but as a professional pressure washer, it always stands out to me. Professionally speaking, don’t pressure wash the organic growth from your porch, just mop it away with a 50/50 solution of bleach and water along with a squirt of Dawn dish soap then rinse with a garden hose. Thank you for the video! I’ll have to get some of that paint.
@MrTexaz101
@MrTexaz101 6 месяцев назад
Do you think the pressure washing will remove the paint? Just mop as good as you can to avoid damaging your hard work. Tell how it went.

I don't know. I have read many bad reviews of this product and some say they followed exact instructions. I had also read that it doesn't cover well on some areas, much less than what it says it does and you will need a lot a more product than with paint and it is already a pretty expensive product. I love the look but I am not that confident in the performance and the yielding.

It definitely works. I started doing it last year, too. I had so many slips from 2 sweet potatoes that I was able to plant a 4' × 16' bed completely, with them being only 8 inches apart. And I had some to spare. I started with 2 store bought ones in January and planted them out in May.
