@Fish_Shawn I'm in search of the perfect mid size reel. All of my shark reels are 5500 up to 10,000. I have a Penn Battle III 3000 on the way. Hoping that fits the bill for reds, and similar sized fish. Thanks.
@vinceruland9236 gotcha! I love penn man!! 3000 can definitely handle them. That battle is a work horse, main thing I'd keep in mind is line capacity. If you're making long cast, you want to make sure you still have plenty on the spool to let those fish run and not feel forced to put a lot of pressure and pull hooks.
@Fish_Shawn I'm a Penn guy myself. The 3000 will be my 4th. I also use a Pflueger President 20 for whiting and other baitfish and I'll tell you what, that's a blast.
Thanks checking out the video! Crazy you asked that, just yesterday I decided I wanted to make some new rode holders. Making it a video might not be a bad idea!
Thanks for watching!! Lots of sharks running the beach down here right now. Headed down Fort Morgan, get some room between you and other beach goers. Steal leader and cut bait. I use a sliding weights with a pyramid sinker. Keep your drag loose to start with, so the fish can eat.
