Rule 1: Don't have a foreign sounding name Rule 2: Don't be female Rule 3: Don't list anything even remotely beyond the minimum required experience for the job Rule 4: Don't forget the buzzwords. A human will never see your resume. You're only writing it for the AI. IF a human sees it they're only looking for one specific thing and won't actually read the whole thing. It doesn't need to be readable. Rule 5: Cover letters are a waste of time because the AI skips them Rule 5: If you want to job you have to either know someone or have sex with the hiring manager. 90% of all posted jobs aren't really for jobs that exist.
I guess I have a good resume then.. worked fast food for 6 years and got up to a Manager position, so good with collaboration and leadership, and then I currently work as a field technician for an isp so I’m pretty good at problem solving and troubleshooting

It’s true about the ethnic name part … I used my real name and after a week I still had no calls from the head hunters . I read about how some people had used a more “Anglo” or “white” name and no lie, I got a call later that same day. I couldn’t believe it . Very disappointing.

I wish parents would realize that by naming their children something goody or so exotic, it actually hurts their chances of finding jobs for the rest of their lives. You can have two males with the exact same IQ and credentials. One is named Billy and the other La'dinyravius naynay Davies, you better believe Billy will get the interview.
Keyword optimization is the key to bypassing ATS systems, not resume format. I recommend you try REsumAI, Jobsolv, and Zety for resume optimization. Jobsolv in particular allows you to tailor your resume for each job posting (they have a job board too).
If you designed the Google search engine then you'd know how to game the system and rank for basically whatever you wanted to make a ton of money. Am i wrong. I know Google makes updates, but you having that sort of intimate knowledge would make you more capable than anyone else.
You basically got to create resumes that are designed to be easily discovered by job search engines. This means knowing the right keywords to use in association with the company you're applying for. Keep things short and sweet, to the point.
