Put a well shaped soap stick (naturally exclusively of a natural soap like ivory) some minutes in warm water, that this one will become slippery, insert this deeply in your anus and wait some minutes.

Given the name, it's a pity these are not the right sort of soap to use as a suppository.

Hi there - How long do you soak loofah in water... I got mine soaking since yesterday and they still hard... Do you add any oils while soaking?
@sarahssoapsca
@sarahssoapsca 2 года назад
Mine were soft after soaking for only a few minutes. It could be the loofah you are using. I have never soaked in oil and wouldn't recommend it as it will bring in too much oil to the soap base.

I made just one to try it out myself first. When you're using the soap, the loofah is so hard and feels like rocks or glass shards on your skin. Is that normal? Thanks
@sarahssoapsca
@sarahssoapsca 2 года назад
Oh no, sorry to hear that! I have not personally experienced that with my loofah. You can also try using loofah powder for a gentler exfoliation!

Nice video, thank you. What dimension is your mold container? How much of the block of melt and pour soap did you use? From your other video it seemed to be a 2 pound block that you started with. Have you or anyone out there used turmeric or beet powder to color the soap? Thank you!
@sarahssoapsca
@sarahssoapsca 3 года назад
Hi Julie, thank you! This was quite some time ago so I no longer have that mold to measure, but there are many soap calculators out there to help you figure out how much soap you can fit in your molds. I know that Bramble Berry has a great one! As far as turmeric and beet root go, beet root unfortunately turns a very unappealing brown colour in soaps from my experience. Turmeric is a beautiful golden colour, however less is definitely more as it is known to stain. Hope that helps!
@julielevin2505
@julielevin2505 3 года назад
Thank you Sarah for taking the time to reply in such detail. I appreciate your very helpful advice! I will steer clear of the beetroot powder!
@sarahssoapsca
@sarahssoapsca 3 года назад
@@julielevin2505 of course, any time! I would try maddar root - I have had wonderful luck getting a wine red with that, as well as a red clay which is a more red / orangey-red!

Could you use a standard silicone loaf mold?
@sarahssoapsca
@sarahssoapsca 3 года назад
as long as you check how much heat it can handle, you can. I stick to molds that you can bake with so I know they will not melt!

Temperature wise, does the crock pot need to be on low ?
@sarahssoapsca
@sarahssoapsca 3 года назад
This all depends on how your crockpot runs - low is perfect on my personal crock as sometimes medium is too high for those hot spots on the pot!

I have never used sodium lactate before in making any kind of soap and I'm wondering if you add it to hot process soap at what point do you add it? at the end where you usually do your additives or do you add it earlier before Trace?

@sarahssoapsca

melt and pour and hot process are two different methods of soap making! Melt and pour soap is already premade, you just melt and repour. Hot process soap is making it from scratch. Hope that helps!
